Remove Top Cap on M6 Shifter

Default Remove Top Cap on M6 Shifter
Can you remove the top cap on the corvette c6 manual shifter. I know you can remove from an automatic but does the manual one come off.

If you are talking about The shifter **** one screw and it removes

Not the entire ****. That is easily removed. Talking about the top cap with the shift pattern. Would like to replace it.

Yes it just pops off. I wrapped mine with black vinyl because I removed all silver from the interior.

It's glued on from what I recall. Not too hard to remove.

I took mine off so I could spray the handle to match my interior. Mine just presses on and was able to remove it by slowly prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver from both sides, rocking it back-and-forth till it popped off.
