Inferno Orange definitely gets a lot of compliments, especially on sunny days! I get a lot of people who can't believe it is a 2013 model. They think it's a brand new car.

Safety Car
[QUOTE=Spaceme1117;1598679095]Every now and then, I will get a compliment from someone when I fill up at a gas station or at a red light. Clean, good condition Corvettes are very appealing to most people. And there is something about the Grand Sport and the Z06 body style that is very elegant and attractive. Add in the bright orange, and they are eye-catchers.

Melting Slicks
I have a few neighbors ( older gals, maybe in the late 60's / early 70's ), who both say that they love my car.
just this Saturday, I was meeting with sister who has a 7 yro daughter. every time she see's it, she wants a ride.
she even said that this is the perfect car for going on a date ( as it only sits two people ).
when driving to parking lot to meet my sister & herr daughter ( at a local kids trampoline place ), I passed a few kids
and got two different reactions. one said "cool car" the other one said "that car scares me". not sure if because of the looks
or the sound ( stock exhaust but with the NPP always open ).
I still get my fair share of thumbs up though.

In Scottsdale, I get all kinds of attention when I'm out in the GT, but it's always all adults...never children.

I bought my C6 Vert at a dealer 100 miles from home. So I had an appointment time set to arrive. It was sitting out front, top down, shining in the bright sun. A 30+/- year old young man was walking around it drooling. Parked and walked up to it and he started asking if it was mine, etc. Almost giddy stating it sure is pretty & that some day he hopes to have one. Took a 5 mile test drive and had two cars pull up along side, thumbs up, and at a stop light one driver pulled up beside us, rolled window down, and said what a beautiful car it was.
When I cruise around in my ‘73 Vert I get smiles, thumbs up, etc. all the time also. We go to a drive in with it couple times each summer and someone always comes up and starts looking it over, strikes up a conversation, asking questions.

I have not had people cat call while driving or I haven't noticed any way. I do get a lot of compliments at gas stations and parking lots. Had a father, mother, and young boy getting out of their truck as I was getting to my car and the boy looked over, wide eyed and said, "Wow, you have a spaceship car!".

Has to be a pretty upscale exotic to get a second look. Even those, you'll see every day on SD roads. If you're on Pima or Scottsdale roads North of the 101 for any longer than 5 minutes, you're going to see at least one exotic. Or, go to Scottsdale Quarter almost any time of day and stand at one of the valet stations for 5 mins.
Kinda envious when you hear other Corvette owners get all that attention........

Yes but most of the attention I get is from other Corvette owners. High fives, thumbs up, flashing lights, and the like; That said; I do get the finger occasionally from some poor bugger driving a mini van. Understandable, I suppose, he has to go home to his nagging wife and screaming kids. Though bananas, we don't have kids.

My C6 GS is my first sports car so I can only speak from limited experience but I was actually surprised and not really expecting the attention it gets. I'm not a flashy guy, kinda keep to myself. I remember on the drive home from the dealership I stopped for gas on the turnpike twice and BOTH times I had older guys in their 60s maybe come up and talk to me about the car. I was like "oh man, what did I get myself into here."
Its been really fun though, every now and then you get a proper car enthusiast who just wants to nerd out on some figures or talk track stuff at the gas station.
I also get a hoot when people call it a Ferrari.
Amen! I get this all time too. "Tell your dad I said nice car..." People are insufferable.

I get comments every once in a while. I don't really look to pay attention as to whether other people are paying attention, though I got the car because I like and enjoy it. If other people like it, cool. If not, cool.
I have never received a negative comment about it and I am fairly young (29). All of my friends are supportive and I've never received a nasty comment.

I've had a dude at work call it my mid-life crisis car. Ironically, he's old enough to be my dad. I had another coworker suggest it was impracticable whilst having young children. Whatever man, do you and worry about yourself.

My new wife gets cat-calls all the time when she is driving our Corvette (in the background of the photo)
But don't get too frisky with her ... The last guy that grabbed her ***, she pistol whipped with her Colt .45 and threw the guy head-first over the bar !
