If It was bad gaskets they would not leak at all eight.A new set of oem gaskets was installed and also new bolts. When they was removed much later the problem was the welding on the inter side.....Looked like a 10 year did the welding.

The shop that installed my cam, headers and tuned is in another city 155 miles from me and I did not notice the leaks until sometime later when i took off the covers,so that when I took picture and sent them to arh and the owner of the shop. One of the guys at the shop told me that we always want our customers to come by so we can look at them..'That kinda told me they had problems before with arh' anyway I said hell no I'm not driving 155 miles (One Way) besides I have already sent photos to the owner...Long story short: he did say they would get a bad set at times and they would have arh make me a new set, well this when on for over a year with emailing back and forth and all i would get is ARH is making a new set for you.The owner of the shop is a great guy but he could only go by what Nick, the owner of arh was telling him.Bottom Line.....I had to do what I needed to do to solve the problem.I now have Kooks and 'No Money' out of my pocket and cash left over...Note: That shop dropped ARH as one of their dealers and one of the reasons was the long wait time to get a set.Call Kooks they have great customer service..ARH sucks as far as customer service.

Performance wise? All reputable headers are the same or within the margin of error. LG has the best looking headers bar none. Really appearance (and in turn, ease of install) is the big difference.

we only have 1-7/8”. From our testing our headers don’t lose any significant amount of tq down low compared to 1-3/4

Ed, no experience with ARH but I did put Kooks 1 3/4 on my 08 like yours. I was impressed with the all inclusive parts that they supply unlike some of the others, will not mention brands. I installed myself on jack stands, not sure I will do that again but not to bad. At the time the Kooks where less expensive also but as someone else stated RPD has a good sale going on now.

If you looking for loud, I went with no cats and when the NPP is open it screams for sure. When Matt at 21st Century tuned it, he commented that it was one of the loudest he had heard in awhile. I may switch to a catted x
pipe to cut down a bit on the sound and smell as well as a bit of drone around 1500 rpm. Hope that helps.

So, no mention of Pfadt / aFe headers in this thread.

I would say that they are about the best in quality of materials and construction of anything available for the C6 Corvette

I have zero experience with their new headers so I cannot comment on them... I do know that when Pfadt was making them in UTAH they had fitment issues..

Yeah, I guess quick reply goes to the whole thread. Thanks, a little far, but if I head that way, I'll check with you.

I will be going with cats. I just don't want the smell when driving a vert. Considering my future plans for the engine I will be going with the 1-7/8" as FI is part of my modding list. I will say, though, that I'd originally been leaning toward ARH, but I'm starting to question that, and find myself seriously thinking about Kooks as an equal, if not better option the more I read the responses.

Billy Boat is here in Phoenix and so is another manufacturer that I won't name here. You might consider waiting until you make your move to make your final decision.
BTW, did you get my PM?
