Update. My insurance company got involved and took over the whole situation. They payed me for what the car is worth and some. The whole rear end internally was damaged as well as every external panel. They deemed it as totaled and I signed over the ownership to my insurance. I did not want to have to deal with the damages that were done to it. Now my insurance will be pursuing the body shop. I am very surprised on the amount of attention this thread attracted. Holy cow. I appreciate all the comments because they were definitely entertaining

I heard this is how you have to start the new c8. You stand outside and reach through the window to start it, it then backs up real fast for you. I guess you can jump in at that point, Im not sure as Im not a dealer or some hot shot mechanic.

OP hasn't posted since the update of resolution on 02/01. Was last on the forum on 03/01. Hopefully he will post up whatever replacement vehicle he buys, if any, to provide final closure.

I had only spot-checked this thread due to the insanity, and I blew right past that. When looking for the last post by the OP, I was disappointed to see it was so long ago.
Maybe that post by the "Controller" of the dealership really was him, and the settlement included some agreement to not disparage them any more, thus the Op's silence since. Who knows if he got another Vette or maybe now has an Odyssey.
