Looking at a Grand Sport

Thank You for your replyi and I appreciate the advice, they did show me and explained the old codes in the car. I bought this car from a individual and paid the dealership to inspect it and I thought it wasn’t a big deal to clear the codes since they were old. I don’t know if the service advisor knew I was going to run it though emissions that day or not. When I called him he said I needed to drive it for a few days. Do you know how long I need to drive to get everything in sync to pass emissions?

Shameless plug. From a sellers perspective. For my GS 4LT, I'm attempting to find a fair price as well. It's hard to highlight extra benefits of recent transmission install, and transferable warranty.

I saw that on CL today. I'd say you're in the ballpark. New trans adds zero value in my book, though the warranty adds some comfort.

Nice! Dealers price was definitely too high for a car that is not perfect running 1LT. I purchased my 13 GS Anniversary package edition that is fully loaded for $31.5k about 15 months ago. It needed new tires and adjust the right headlight with 46k miles but I'm happy.
I think they were freaked out by piston slap so if you start up your car in the cold someday and it sounds like a diesel then dont panic.

Yes, warranties are always a plus. If you desire at the time it expires GMEPP also has warranties if the car is 10 years or less old and under 100k. At least I think they do. I bought one for my 13GS but I had a dealer make sure it still has the factory tune so they can't deny coverage also.

I paid $37,500 a year and a half ago for:
2013 GS, 2LT, NPP, NAV, Chrome wheels, 19k, CRM / Ebony
I'm really happy to see the values of these cars holding up so well!

I guarantee quadracr is wrong in his understanding of diagnostic codes.
Diagnostic codes have certain enable criteria, some require the engine start cold, then warm up, some require some idle time etc, different speed ranges, etc that’s why some codes need drive time, it’s actually called an OBD drive cycle, but what they don’t need is a certain amount of miles.
