Melting Slicks
Fender & body adhesives are very expensive - about $85 - $100. I would use 3M two-sided mounting tape since it will hold the parts together and prevent them from rattling against each other.

Most body adhesives are silicone based. I would use 3M automotive silicone adhesive ... easily gotten at NAPA, Home Depot etc. I would use copious amounts .. and use the 3M heavy duty spray adhesives to hold the piece temporary in place and for the silicone to completely dry. 24 hours for no touch! You could use epoxy, but that's a hassle!

If the bond fails you could have some real problems. I would probably use the adhesive that GM uses - my 2 cents. I THINK it is 3M 38315 Panel Bonding Adhesive, Amazon sells it for ~$24.
