Default Unable to shift gear in to "S" Mode

Hey guys, picked up my C6 2 years ago and never engaged into the "S" Mode. I tried today to get it to shift down into the "S" Gear to activate paddle shifting
however it will not shift into that bottom most position.

I tried forcing it like beating on it like a gorilla but it simply wont engage in "S" position.

Has this happend to anyone else?

More than likely your shifter linkage cable was changed at some point and was not adjusted correctly. Go here and read posts 6 and 12 by Dano523. Dano is da man.

Did you push the shift lever button down while trying to shift from D to S? While in D do your shift paddles work?

Is your shifter had to shift out of Park as well. If so, then the locking pawl is not fully releasing. That would prevent the shifter from going down into S position.

You've owned the car for 2 years and have never been in sport mode. Never used the paddles? Am I the only one confused here?

How else can you drive if not in "S" mode?
