I use a this method. 3 Zip ties in an H pattern. One around the base, one around the removable connector and one around and under the two you just installed. Pull the first two tight and then the third and it will pull the connectors together. That will last at least a several years or more.

Ever seen what happens to a motor when it leans out due to an injector stopping firing? It aint pretty.

this is what I was initially looking at. It would just involve cutting the old one off and splicing the new one in, right? Is soldering required for the splice?

Ev6, ev14, uscar are all names for the connector.

Lots of options. Google if your friend.

Hell I think I have a few in the tool box... But if you broke one, you'll break more. Buy extra.
Actually, EV1, EV1.3, EV6 & EV14 are names of Bosch fuel injector families. The EV6 & EV14 families come in multiple lengths and with a range of different electrical connectors depending on what the vehicle manufacture wanted. There are a wide range of electrical connectors, not all of them have formal names or standardized fitments which makes it complicated if you need them all like I do for work. However, for the C6 it's simple because they all use USCAR connectors which are standardized.

Here's more than you ever wanted to know about just one small part of the electrical connectors on our vehicles:

I did the same thing on my previous car. You can buy the new plugs an make a tool to remove the pins. I used a small piece of wire an hammered it flat, sanded it to shape an it worked great. Slides in between plastic housing an pin an pin backs right out.

DONT CUT YOUR FACTORY WIRING...

Pull the pins out of the factory plugs(lots of tutorials on youtube how to do this) and insert into new plugs from the link I posted before to Ballenger Motorsports.

NAPA sells injector pigtails, you can splice it in or disassemble it and repair the broken one you have.

A bobby pin works great for this also! They come in several different sizes, just ask your wife for one!

duct(k) tape & bailing wire. I still have some of each on hand. if you need just a quick 'A to B" fix, your options are endless.
add JB weld to mix and you have no excuses for not getting home.
all of these have saved me over the years.
not elegant, but that's not the point.

I replaced a pigtail on my '98 Z/28 ( LS1 ). a little solder & shrink wrap and your done!
after looking for over a month the find the problem. while the insulation still looked good ( not split or having any exposed wiring ),
one of wires was bent and looking like a kinked garden hose. after over 300k miles, the wiring had separated internally.
easy fix for you!
