C6 GCA Performance Exhaust
GCA stands for Genuine Corvette Accessory. These exhaust systems were manufactured by Borla for GM Performance Parts.
From what I've been able to gather, there were 2 systems available:
Touring System - # 17801884
Sport System - # 19154780
I believe the Sport System # 19154780 is identical to the Borla S-type Classic, # 11744.
The only difference is the GM system has "GM Performance Parts" on it instead of "Borla", and the tips have "GCA" and the Corvette flag on them instead of "Borla". See attached PDF document showing photos of a GCA Sport System I removed from my 2008 C6M. I'm selling it because my wife thinks it's too loud, but I really liked it.... she won !!!

Speaking of Borla ... The photos below are of the Borla 'Touring' (Type 1) with the oval tips on my 2011 GS.
The Touring Type 1 is now discontinued, and has been replaced by the newer 'Touring' Type II.
Older style Type I below:
Attachment 48331112 These also were available with round tips

I replaced my stock mufflers on my 2006 A6 with GCA touring. They look much more aggressive than the stock OEM ones. But, they are only 1 to 2 ticks louder. I wish they were a little louder for all the work I did to remove the stock mufflers and install these.

Hey Trebor,
You must have had the "Touring" system.... the Sport system I had was quite aggressive.... certainly way more than a few ticks louder than stock ! It did have some drone at cruising RPM (1400 - 1600 or so...) but the sound was so sweet when I hammered the throttle. I guess it ultimately depends on the person.... my wife hated the drone, I could tolerate it more than she could.

Your profile says you have the Corsa Sport exhaust. I have heard those and they are not quiet. Are the GCA sport mufflers louder than the Corsa sports?

I was afraid of getting something that made the car sound too loud. And yes, afraid that my wife would tell me that I ruined it. Unfortunately, I was too timid and installed something that was too quiet. If I get on it, it's not too bad. But you can't ride around like that all the time. I am not spending more money and time on another exhaust. I'll just live with it.

I did a lot of research before I replaced my GCA exhaust; what I found out is that Corsa is the only exhaust manufacturer that GARANTEES there is NO DRONE at cruise and they are totally correct. It's the perfect exhaust for an everyday driver or if you like to take trips in your Vette and want to carry on a conversation when you're cruising down the highway.
BUT.... the good thing is.... when you accelerate past about 2000 or so RPM it really comes alive... the way it should when accelerating or doing full throttle pulls. To me, it's the perfect exhaust... quiet at cruise, but with a nice deep lope at idle and a sweet scream under acceleration. I spoke with a factory Corsa rep and he said the "Extreme" system is a bit louder than the Sport but is still quiet at cruise with no drone. I decided to play it safe and I have no regrets, the Sport exhaust system is the right choice for me and I highly recommend it. My buddy bought one for his 2006 convertible after hearing mine!

GCA exhaust vs. Corsa Sport
Sorry Trebor, I responded to your post but did NOT answer your question.... my bad !
The GCA exhaust system I had was louder than my Corsa Sport System.... at ALL RPM's.
BUT... I like the Corsa Sport much better because it's still aggressive above approx. 2000 RPM but is nice and quiet in the cabin at cruising RPM's.
