Dupli-Color Shadow
Has anyone ever used the Dupli-Color Shadow kit on you chrome wheels to get a black chrome look?

I did contact Dupli-Color and they claimed it will do exactly that. If I can get the nerve up to do it I will post before and after pictures. Most likely it will not be for a week or so. I am going to a show on the 23rd and I think I will wait until after that.
I would like to see some pictures, especially on a black car.

I tried it on my ATS to change out the trim. My results were less than satisfactory. Looked like a high school kid spay painted it.

I'll wait for your results before attempting it. There is always paint stripper if things go really awful

I bought the kit some time back to do the center caps. As you know they are plastic and the original tint was staring to peel so I bought new caps and of course they do not make them in black chrome so I got chrome. It worked, but it was much darker. Acetone took it right off. So I thought I would see how it worked on one wheel first.
