Make sure you see the falls. It doesn't take long, and they'll blow you away. Send us a pic!

Be safe!

Congrats on the getting your baby home safe! She's a stunner. Any plans to mod her?

As you can see in the picture above I took possession of my "new to me" C6 from Fred today. I just rolled into Charleston about a half hour ago, what a great car it is Fred!

Let's see... car have never driven before with bald summer tires no visibility, coated in ice, semis whizzing by at 60 miles an hour.

Was completely sideways twice. a Christmas miracle I actually managed to get off the highway in one piece.
May go for that U-Haul option after all.
I hate to say it but I could see this coming. I know people say, "I've driven in snow and it's no big deal", yeah well I've driven in snow too, and let me tell you something, you jump in a Corvette with uhp summer Tires and you are in for a new experience. I would almost be willing to bet that a person who isn't absolutely confident in their snow driving ability, couldn't make a 2-hour trip in that car without having it in the weeds or on the lid.

Glad to hear you were able to keep it out of the weeds and stop for the night.

Congratulations to both of you on your new rides!

This journey is epic. Take it home Viking, the forums counting on you. Was probably an unwise decision to drive so far this time of year but happy that your almost there. Great buy vette_guy i'm looking for a c6 and saw both these cars for sale on the forum. My grandsons in Atlantic City and i was going to ask him to go see Atomic Freds car buy it was already gone.

Definitely not the wisest choice doing this winter. I likely wouldn't attempt again....got it home about 3 4 hours ahead of storms. Super risky.

This trip certainly filled me sense for adventure. Definitely a thrill thinking on my feet adapting as things unfold. I rolled the dice, turned out ok- this time.

Saw some great parts if the country and things ive never seen before. Had some great food in St Louis, and Cleveland and Syracuse. I saw 2 of the great lakes and the St Louis arch. I got to drive and amazing car that didn't miss a beat over 1700 miles.

Would I do it again? Hellya. Just not in winter and not in the near future.

Thanks again to all the great forum members who offered advice, best wishes, or even just followed along.

I feel it was a great buy....I drove it 10 hours from PA to Charleston and, while it wasn't as comfortable as a Cadillac, it was a great ride. Had to stop once and a while to let the blood in my *** and legs circulate, but not a bad trip at all. You definitely missed a good deal but there's many more out there!

Going to take her for a wash in the morning. Also needs an oil change, started with 20% oil life, went down to 0 about 200 miles from home.

I really like the color too. It's the perfect shade of yellow. My previous car was a 2005 silver GTO. talk about going from overlooked to looked over.
