Default Stock C6 Tires

Noob here again.... would someone please hip me as to the brand/model and aspect ratio of the tires that the factory installed on my 2009 Z51? I've been told they were Pirellis... Thanks.

More specifically, Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car EMT, TPC spec 1217.

Who's the expert that told you they were Pirellis?

Some bonehead in a body shop who claimed to have owned several Corvettes. I'm more interested in the aspect ratio(s) (if I'm using that term correctly) that will fit my 18x8.5 and 19x10 wheels and fit my wheelwells.

the tire brand may be specific to the model too.
my 2009 ( 3LT, J55, Z51 ) had Michelin super sports, F: 245/40/18, B;285/35/19.
they do have a shorter life span than I'd prefer, but otherwise, I've been very happy with them.

"Heavy Duty" brakes that came with all Z51 (perf. handling) and F55 (mag. ride) "base" cars.

Some have claimed J55 was available ala carte also, but production numbers don't reflect that, at least for 2009 MY.

J55 Brake option is I believe part of the 3LT package. these are the same as on the Z06 optioned cars (larger dia., drilled ).

You are misinformed on both claims.

you know the drill, if you're going to disagree with someone, then please present your side too.
if I'm wrong, i don't want to keep reciting bad info.
what info can you supply to educate us?
I'm going off info that i researched a few years ago.

According to everything I have ever read, Goodyears were the original tire for a 2009 Z51 option vehicle. Did you buy the car new off the dealer lot? If not, how do you know yours originally came with Mich's? Not arguing the possibility, but do want to fill in the knowledge if I am wrong.

i am the second owner, i should have clarified my point ( in my mind i did ) the tire claim.
when i purchased the car, it had the Michelins already installed. so you are correct in that, i do not know was factory supplied.
but you mentioned that i was incorrect on both points.
what is the other point?

C,
thank you for clarifying that your car was not originally equipped with Mich's, though just about everyone wishes they were. As for the second point, I did not make a second point, so you might be thinking of another poster (919cw, perhaps?).

See page 19 here for Z51 and F55 specifics: http://www.c6registry.com/facts/2009-order-guide.pdf

Review production numbers here: https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...roduction.html
(notice 6,620 matches Z51 & F55 added together, yet does not match the 5,230 3LT production number)

Regarding rotor size, look that up yourself at your choice of auto parts stores online. Base, Z51/F55, and Z06 are all different sizes.
Or search corvette forum and find something like this: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ake-specs.html
Or go back to the production numbers link and find there are no Z06's with J55, all J56 or J57.

I couldn't find a window sticker for a 2009 online, but here's a 2008 which was equipped the same (no mention of upgraded brakes w/3LT):

Now it's your turn, post your previous research.

Just had a closer look at my car and found almost new Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP's (Yay!) mounted on Cray Mantas. Looks like the car will sit in the garage next to my '65 V-8 Corvair (vairhead65... get it?) 'til it stops raining or snowing or whatever. Thanks all for your input.

Mike
