Ash Tray & Lighter Door
I have a 2006 and the Ash tray door will not stay closed. Has anybody had this trouble and is there a fix for the door?

Yes, the catch that is inside has broken it’s a very small piece and I’m not sure you can get it from the dealer but it’s worth a try. I bought the complete assembly used to fix mine.

When I owned my 05 and 07, I wouldn’t touch it for fear of it not staying closed. A known issue early on. Glove box latch and vanity mirror too.

I had the same issue with mine when I bought it. The dealer had the latches at that time, probably bout 7 years ago. If mem serves they were about $17. I bought 2 of them just to have a spare since they seem to be made so cheaply. Don't use mine....don't smoke, but just like everything to work right. The latch wasn't terribly hard to replace.....just a little tricky if mem serves. Some delicate and small hand work if you take my meaning. Good Luck

Don't discount that the ashtray catch spring went bad. Picture above shows its location.
Take spring out and just stretch it a bit, put it back together and it works just like new. It's a little time consuming
