I think you should go look at the car, inspect it, and make a deal. Even if you pay their asking price, you wouldn't regret it, that's not a bad price considering the low mileage, and after all, you only live once.
Just make sure you post pictures of the car once you get it.

500 miles was the close one for you!? Yikes! I did a few 400 mile away cars in my life, and will never do it again. 3 or 4 hours away was enough of a challenge recently, I think my new rule is an hour and a half away tops, haha.

Dude! I started looking at 68-72 cars, then up to a 96 LT4, then to a 96 GS, then to a 01 base, then a 04 Z, then an 08 base, to a 14 base, and ended up with a 13 GS. Lol.

I got my C6 because I thought it looked better than the C7.
Also someone commented on color. I agree it's hard to cross shop silver red and black with the rarer blues and various tint colors. I ended up paying a bit extra because I wanted a specific color.

I'm also a sucker for that "shoe" car look. C6 widebody, Gen 2+ Vipers, 60s Cheetah, M coupe, 250 GTO, TVR Sagaris, Lotus Exige, Z4 GTS race cars, SLS AMG

I bought a 2012 IO M6 2LT with 48K miles in November. I paid $31K which to me was a fair price for it.
I looked for over a month before buying and a 3LT with the M6 was not very common and I didn't see a single 4LT. It seems like all the M6s I found were all 1LT or 2LT and many had been modded and/or tracked. The one I bought was driven about 8K miles per year which was at the upper end of what I considered acceptable.
Ultra-low miles will bring a premium--if not from you then probably someone else. Only you can decide what that's worth. I will tell you that if I had found a 3LT with only 5,500 miles on it, I would have gone to $36 or $37K.

I love my C-6. It's a great looking car....it runs good and it's fast enough for me. But I ain't so bias that I would say that i wouldn't trade it for a C-7 with the right color and right miles....etc...etc. Sure the looks of the C-7 are more defined, and the rear end leaves a little to be desired in the wrong color combo, but there are some things that simply out shine our beloved C-6's. Interior quality would almost be enough to make the switch for me. The C-7's are supposed to be a big improvement, which wouldn't be hard as our beloved C-6 interiors are crap whether you own a GS or base. This shouldn't be hard for anyone to see for themselves....unless of course they are so C-6 bias that they won't admit it. So is the C-6 better looking ?....subjective.......Does the C-6 out perform the C-7?...no.......is the C-7's interior better....yes. The wiffs back and forth about which is best can go on and on. Pick the car you like...buy it.....and have fun........

That's a really good price actually, when you factor in the barely driven off the lot miles.

So after all of that you end on the same thing I'm arguing.

Again I thought that the C7s I have driven were a big improvement just a few things that I remember rev matching ,electric steering, tighter over all feel much improved seats on and on. Nothing wrong with the C5,C6 platform to a point but In my opinion C7 much better car looks aside.
Chassis rigidity and more power, I'll give you. I've driven a C7 Z51. Apart from the looks, its not a bad car by any means.

I own a 20000 mile M6 2012 Grand Sport Lt3 mag ride. It is a nice car but no question to spend @ $40000.00 be looking at a C7. I really doubt if I could even sell mine for $30000.00 and it is perfect condition. Bet there is going to be a lot of traded in C7s when the C8 mid engine are released this spring. Again just my opinion.

And again, there is no official word on a c8. The c7 generation probably hasnt even paid for itself yet. And a midengine corvette will turn off a LOT of buyers, if it happened. Truth be told, it would likely lead to a drop in sales that would kill Corvette. If GM has any sense, they would do a midengine car as a unique model, a special edition car like the Ford GT.
With nothing solid on the subject existing but some camo shots and a lot of son called "insiders", making any plans based off of a hypothetical C8 is crazy. And ive seen what those wackjobs in the C8 area consider firm evidence. They see what they want to see as evidence because they want to feel right and smart.

Not to beat a dead horse here but I again challenge you with this: It depends what you're using the car for. Electric steering is not better for track use, the 2012-2013 seats are amazing. Electronic rev matching by a computer defeats the purpose of a manual trans. You can debate this till the cows come home but a purist isn't going to employ this feature.
Chassis rigidity and more power, I'll give you. I've driven a C7 Z51. Apart from the looks, its not a bad car by any means.

Well dammit man....people gots to have REV MATCHING like its impossible to do otherwise... They speak of it like its a thing... duh.. I wonder what they would do if they ever had to double clutch to get in gear.
I had a loaded up Stingray and the only thing I really miss is the heated/cooled seats and the exhaust...I even turned off the heads up display. Oh yea...I don't miss the orange peel either. it did turn really well though but not THAT much better and its a 10th quicker to 60 but I can't tell it. The C6 overall is much more "fun" imo...not to mention looks better, even timeless.. ****, I love the looks of the c5 when I see those too.
