Again just my opinion.

Your car would retail for 36 or more in the winter. Base c6's 3lt's and low miles are asking 30 or better on dealer lots.

And again, there is no official word on a c8. The c7 generation probably hasnt even paid for itself yet. And a midengine corvette will turn off a LOT of buyers, if it happened. Truth be told, it would likely lead to a drop in sales that would kill Corvette. If GM has any sense, they would do a midengine car as a unique model, a special edition car like the Ford GT.

With nothing solid on the subject existing but some camo shots and a lot of son called "insiders", making any plans based off of a hypothetical C8 is crazy. And ive seen what those wackjobs in the C8 area consider firm evidence. They see what they want to see as evidence because they want to feel right and smart.
Something aligned with the Ford GT is brilliant!

I agree the auto is a deal breaker for me too! But it's a nice GS with super low miles and not a bad price. Hope it can find a good home.

Bet the used car dealer does not have over $22000-23000 in to it.

I bet they have 30K in it. If someone could snag it for 34-35k that would be nice.

I would take that bet. Dealers pay wholesale or they will not be in business long. Sure that you could "snag" that car for $34000.00. Seven years old will need new tires, battery, and all fluids. They are nice cars but I question whether they are worth right at the same price that good used C7s are selling for.

Thats part of the issue......no buyer ever really knows what a dealer/seller may have in a used car.

Exactly!!!! and I guess we never will but the more we BS about it the more info we get out there to help us make an informed decision about a purchase.

I paid 23K for my '05 2 years ago and I bet the dealer didn't have 17K in it but I beat on him until he wouldn't come down any more. The car was 1 owner well documented and well cared for so I did the deal.

Corvettes are kinda well known in the marketplace for not having a ton of margin in them on the used market. It's not like a 911 where you can make 10k on a car. Most used ones are making 1-3k on them if they're lucky. Look at the spread between retail and trade in prices, theres not a big spread. Your dealer likely had 20 to 21 into that car.

I hope so for the sake of the original owner who bought it (ordered it) from the same dealer they likely traded it to on a C7. I have a feeling that dealer made money on my vette at least 3 times in sales not counting all the service they provided to the original owner.

^ Yeah that seems cheap, and it’s at a buy here-pay here lot. I think if it was legit someone would have snagged this by now, looks like it’s been on Craigslist for a month?

In before some yahoo says it’s because no one buys corvettes in Denver in the winter.

Smells like a salvage title, 5.3 swap, or some other sort of story.
