Best for maximum filtration is the OEM '08+ Donaldson. (aka AC Delco)
Best for maximum power is no filter.
Everything else is a compromise. Pick your poison.

if the car is still stock, I can't see you gaining much, if anything other than using a stock delco unit.
from what I've read, the stock air cleaner assembly / filter is not too bad.
if you start upping the ante a bit ( cam / heads / exhaust ), then you've got some research to do.

I have heads, mild cam, exhaust, FAST intake, making 510 flywheel hp on my 2006 LS2, and the stock Delco air filters are not a restriction at this power level.

sounds good to me! did you ever try different CAI setups for comparison?
just curios as to how efficient the stock units are.

I installed the Vette-Air cold air intake, basically a hole in the front piece of plastic, and a scoop to aim the air at the air filter boxes.

Your post would be relevant if you would have thrown up a chart of actual Vette filters. Yeah, I know....they are all the same regardless of size and shape. Not!
