Default Sacrilege!!!

Just thought I'd get some C6 owners riled up this morning! While combing Craigslist this morning I found this:

I've never been one of those who can't stand the rear tail lights of a C7, but why anyone would ever change out the rear of a c6 to emulate that of a C7 is well beyond my comprehension! One of the worst corvette mods I've ever seen!

This gives new meaning to the phrase 'butt ugly'.

That is foolish.

Hey, back in 64 some people cut the split out of the rear window of their 63 split window coupes to make it look like a 64. Guess that didn't work out well over time.

I stand corrected, that is definitely the worst corvette mod ever, at least in hindsight. From what I understand there's not much you can do to restore the split window either because of the rarity/expense of the window glass/trim etc. Sounds like you would have to find a donor car 63 SWC to restore one to its pre-hacked condition.

Someone took arguably the best looking Corvette rear end of all time and ruined it by adding arguably the worst looking Corvette rear end of all time...sheesh

I might be able to go with a C7 if it had this conversion rear bumper.

Sorry, round tailights just don't belong on a C7.

To the owners credit, the ad did say the original bumper would come with the car!

The lines of the C7 are too sharp to have round taillights.

Meh....It's just a mass produced car, not a Picasso or Rembrandt......if the owner wants to put a Mustang rear end on it, have at it.

Only to the eyes of the beholder. The rear lines below the tail lights are not as sharp as the C7. The C7 has that straight line going across the rear facia.
Not saying that round lights wouldn't or couldn't work, but not those from a C6.
