Hanging my dry cleaning in the C6!?!?!
Well...I went to pick up my suit from the cleaners and discovered I didn't have a hanging hook! (GHASP!) I'm heading to Florida for a funeral and was wondering what, if anything, others have done in this situation?

In my Vert, I put my suit (in a suit bag) in the trunk - laying flat on top of whatever else is put in (e.g., small suitcase, etc.) If you're in a Coupe, I guess you could do the same in the rear storage area.

Melting Slicks
A few years ag went to a wedding out in California and took the Vette. When I packed, the first thing I did was remove my Lloyd's cargo mat, laid my suit & wife's outfit out flat, still in the dry cleaning wraps. I then carefully replaced the mat over them and packed our luggage. Worked great; nothing got wrinkled and everything looked like it did when they were picked up from the cleaners. Of course this only works if you have a coup, don't know what to do if you have a vert.

Sorry you are posting under these circumstances,
I regularly pick up Mr.ow6's dry cleaning, and I just lay it gently over the groceries in the trunk. I would imagine that would work over your luggage. Touch up with an iron at your hotel. Or bring a small spray bottle to spritz your clothing if hanging up overnight, that's what I do when traveling.
Unless you are packed to the (literal ) gills, it's no worse than airline travel; it's actually better (luggage-wise).

I picked up my shirts from the dry cleaning one day and just lay them down on the back. I then had to run a couple of errands and on my way home forgot my clothes were back there and did a little spirited driving. Needless to say, I needed to assemble everything back.

I wouldn't take my Corvette to a funeral. I'd probably drive my XKE. Condolences.
