Ok, let's clear this up. 99.9% of people can't extract the extra performance of a GS. Sorry if that was poorly worded. That's all. But I don't begrudge anyone for buying what they like. On the street either will take any corner faster than legal speeds. The GS out handles the base but a bad driver won't be any better in either. They will still suck no matter what. It's the same with sport bikes. Most riders are no faster on a GSXR 600 than a Katana 600. Big ole chicken strips on both sides of the tires. Lol

My remark about the base being faster is in the quarter mile. Check the fast list. The GS is not slow in that regard but the base is faster. Both great cars.

Its funny how GM marketed, and every magazine confirmed, the LS1 SS Camaro as being faster than the Z28. It clearly was not.

Sorry to offend any wanna-be Z06, I mean GS owners. That IS a joke. Wide body with an auto and a removable top? Recipe for a great ride.

Dyno sheets and forums dont determine who wins.
It might prevent doing a burnout, I haven't tested it, but the traction control damn sure doesn't care if the back tires are spinning. I've had systems on other vehicles you could pin driving through wet grass and it wouldn't spin, this car just doesn't care. I'm not sure what the TC actually does lol.

Just read article in May Motor Trend. Tested a Hellcat Redeye. Ran 12.0@125. Not bad for almost 800hp. Oh yeah, it weighed a portly 4550 pounds. Unbeatable? NOT !!

Didn’t someone say weight doesn’t matter on a roll....🤣 I have lots of good data on roll racing a 800+whp vette....dragy runs and races so it’s all very useful for the OP.....curios to what that 800hp kitty cat runs 60-130? I’d guess it’s in the 7 second range....at best low 7’s at worst high 7’s.

2006 C6z 800+ on a 6800 rev limiter and 3rd-4th pulls 60-130mph in 5.6 seconds....that’s a lot of bus lengths....1500lbs matters lol even from a roll...

Does weight have any positive attributes or just wear out parts faster, less MPG's and slows down car?

They can run mid 10s with some sticky rubber. They're definitely not slow, just hard to hook. Especially for the average Joe. I wouldn't race one because I don't want to get taken out if the guy loses control. Street is basically a nasty no prep track with an 800hp car....

How about to be safer dropping that engine down to a 392 from the Scat Pack Challenger non super charged regular aspirated engine? Makes for a safer Dodge Challenger with 8 spd. automatic?

Fare better in a wreck with another vehicle (at their expense). More stable on straight roads due to inertia. Other than that, it's just a negative side effect of other things like larger bodies for more room, nicer interiors, more sound dampening, cheaper body panels, etc...

I was thinking that it wears down the brakes faster too.

Looks like you got a troll stalker Oh Boy. Isn't that precious. I would love to get a pic of that mighty ZR1 you have, love seeing a sweet ZR1. Nothing finer.

I am sure you could beat Oh Boy's Grand Sport with the engine that needs work. Actually, think it is slated to be fixed shortly. Easy 5k for you there especially in that ZR1, I am sure you could ask mom and dad to front you the money. Making money doesn't get much easier than that!

Unless of course that ZR1 is actually a Hot Wheels collector item. VROOM VROOM!

Gotta love internet fan boys without real life cars🤣🤣
run into those jabroni’s on IG trying to flex on people all the time....entire page with nothing but stolen images or videos of other cars “Mexico racing” but they are the worst about “what’s fast” and “your car is a POS” 🤣🤣 I tend use those interactions as life lessons for these clowns.....

  1. That's horrible considering the 707 HP Hellcat was clipping off faster times. Someone cNt drive or they were just trying to do 1,000 foot burnouts.
