Default Grand Sport Is Pure Joy

Been almost 2 months that I haven't been able to drive my 2011 Grand Sport. Been more salt on the roads than snow here in north Kentucky but finally we got a few days of rain and they decided not to re-salt the roads afterward.

Was able to drive it once last week and then this evening. HOLY ****, IT IS PURE JOY DRIVING THIS MACHINE!

I am a little bit out of touch with the clutch as I have gotten used to the clutch in my manual BMW 335i. The amazing thing is that the GS clutch takes less effort and isn't as heavy as the BMW.

Anyway, I've fallen in love with the Grand Sport all over again.

Obligatory pictures of the car:

Welcome to the GS club ! Mine is hibernating until it gets warmer (summer tires ) but they are a blast to drive. I highly recommend looking into a MGW shifter and replacing the clutch spring with one from a C5. The MGW is much tighter than the stock shifter, and the C5 spring eliminates the on.off feel of the C6 clutch pedal.

Not only are C6 Grand Sports a joy to drive, but they're the best looking Corvette of all time.

I would agree that the GS is the best looking, but I too am a little biased 😁

I'm spoiled in that I can drive mine 7 days a week all year long here in Florida.

It's out in the parking lot, waiting to be punched all the way home.

Nice ride. I too am waiting for the salt and brine to be removed from the roads here in Northeast PA. Cannot wait to unleash the beast

The GS rules! I’m coming up on 6 years with mine and no desire to ever part with it.

Same here. Bought it new in 2013. Although I don't drive it much the last couple of years I could never part with it. Just knowing I have it to use when I want to use it is pure satisfaction.

I am not far away. I am in Erlanger.

That is good to know. I will make it a point to attend that Cars and Coffee. Hope the weather is good.

Great looking car and an awesome picture. Colorado has some really nice areas to drive around in a Vette.

Definitely an instant love affair when I brought her home. It is my daily, but can't wait for the weather to warm up to take the top off and head up skyline drive or some other nice cruising routes around here.

The C6 GS is an absolutely beautiful car!!

Agree with all of the above.

Last weekend had a set of Michelin PS2 ZP's installed. If any of you are still on your OEM GoodYear Run Flats, you will be amazed of how much of a better ride you will feel on the PS2's.
