Default 2005 ls2 CARB certified CAI in California?

I called a guy from westcoastcorvette and inquired about CARB legal air induction for my 05 vette, however, he told me anything besides stock isn't going to be carb legal. Is this true or has anyone found a system that will be compliant? I would like to just install something and not have to worry about it to pass smog. I found this one which says it's carb legal but he said it wasn't? Here's the link https://www.westcoastcorvette.com/p-...-ls2-only.aspx Appreciate the help!

In California one cannot alter from OEM regarding emission parameters. Intake is one of them.

the unit K&N May or may not have a carb # ok for Ca.

Further search reveals the series 57 units are carb legal. All other series are not.

but save your money not worth it. For 500$ get a tune instead on dyno more power and I have passed for years with tune only.

buy a used zo6 intake then add a blue filter or drop in K&N and cut a 2in slit under the filter in the shroud. You'll flow more than enough air with this and save $$ and still CARB compliant.

Its easy enough to but the stock one back on when you need to pass smog every other year.

The 2005 was the last year that you can get a CARB legal intake for. Please give me a call and I will get you taken care of.
