Default Headlight haze issue

After reading and looking at numerous treads on this subject, I have a few questions. I really don’t feel light removing the headlight, seems like a real PITA, and I don’t really want to spend 2k. Car is a 10 ZR1 with only 13k miles, questions are
1- Has anyone removed your wheels popped the lamps out and tried cleaning the lens from the inside, most likely it’s baked on, but just wondering?
2- has anyone just put like a window tint over the light to block that shitty haze, it’s pretty bad. Just looking at alternatives before I do anything. I might leave well enough alone , haven’t even driven the car ar night yet, thanks guys.

I would tint them and call it a day, otherwise its like you said 800-1000bucks for a used set (thats flawless) and 2x that for new

as far as trying to clean the lense from the inside, i wouldnt touch it.

can you maybe post a couple pics too??

niteshades is a good spray on tint made by VHT
actual window tint would be tricky unless you have a connection that can do it RIGHT the first time

I remember seeing a pic of mine before I bought it that looked like there was condensation on the headlights, but there was none when I bought it. I also watched the owners DVD video that is available youtube Chevy actually mentions that it is normal to have some condensation on the inside of the headlights due to the temperature differences. That surprised me a bit. Luckily I haven't noticed any issues with the lights themselves.

Perhaps yours was caused or related to that "feature".

As Stolen said, do you have any pics of the headlights?

it’s just kind of in the beginning stages, but I might tint them, don’t really drive it much at night anyway, there not nearly as bad as some I’ve seen.

All - I don't know if this will work for the Corvette, but I have a 2007 Victory Jackpot where the headlight had seriously hazed. Of course I tried cleaning from the outside but it didn't work; hazing was on the inside. After taking it off the bike, I considered 'baking it in the oven,' prying it apart, and cleaning it. But my wife and I talked about it first and decided to try a solution of baking soda and vinegar poured in through the light socket, swishing it around, then rinsing. It worked like a champ! Came out crystal clear wth no dissambly, and no scrubbing. Just let it air dry, then put it back on. Looks like new.

I get there doesn't appear to be an opening in the vette headlight even with the bulbs out but I've never had them off my mine (2011 - thankfully they remain clear) to know what might be possible once they're out of the car.

So I offer this for what it's worth. Maybe not much for the vette but since I'm unsure, I throw it out there, just in case. Best of luck

I just don't get it you want to put a band aid on a broken leg by tinting or spraying your hazing headlights. You're ZR1 is Chevy's top corvette why would you want to be so cheap with it? Get it fixed the proper way and be done with it. It you can't afford to do so then I highly recommend selling it. Just sayin!

One can only aspire to achieve the "cool" look you have done to YOUR car, but in the end maybe, just maybe, all don't think what you've done to YOUR car is all that cool, but in my case I keep my opinion to myself, just sayin !!
