hand built LS3 make more power?

hand built LS3 make more power?
Hello guys my car is a 2011 GS 6mt vert. as you know verts engine are not dry sump so they are not hand built, i have read somewhere that the hand built LS3 can make a little more HP than the (normal) LS3. Truth or urban legend?

No truth to it at all.
Only thing for sure is that you need to buy 10.5 quarts of oil vs 5.5 quarts of oil at change time.
Where do these silly rumors come from ?

Legend. Today's computer controlled eng building process ensures perfect torque on all fasteners. A hand built eng is all dependent on the skill of the builder....and we can all have off days.
Not that I have ever heard of problems with the hand assembled engs.

I have read several articles in car magazines stating that the hand built motors are a little more stout. Is it true? Who knows.

The engines are NOT hand built... they are hand assembled, sort of.
Its hand assembled with assembly line parts... nothing special is chosen, no tolerances are checked and special parts substituted, no balance checked, etc...
They use machines to torque all bolts, not a torque wrench to torque each bolt individually.
The "assembler" isnt measuring any clearances...
The ONLY reason the dry sump LS motors were hand assembled is the crank is to long for the existing LS engine robots... thats it from my understanding.
Now with the new LT4 motors also being hand assembled, my guess is that's purely a marketing gimmick at this point, but who knows.

This Thread went an entirely different direction than I was expecting. I thought this was going to be a discussion of doing a serious quality rebuild with 100% stock parts and squeaking out more horsepower. I don't think there's any question that that can be done. Just look at the Stock classes in NHRA. You have guys with a 2nd gen small block Chevy turning out 600 horsepower with a mandated stock cam and stock carburetor. If you don't think there is more to be found by porting and polishing and sizing and all the little things you can do, look no further. The difference between a stock LS and a really well-built no holes barred LS is a big difference. The reason you don't see it more commonly is because it's so easy to swap out a few parts and make more horsepower and nobody is restricted to doing that on the street. So you just slap on a supercharger or turbos and stuff some more fuel in the cylinder. But as far as having a couple top people on the assembly line grabbing the same Parts, unless they're given something different , I can't see that really making a measurable difference.

it is possible but it really comes down to the efficiency of the oil pumps . since the force of friction, f, is equal to the product of the normal force, N, and a number called the coefficient of friction, μ. would certainly tip the balance of power one way or the other - keep in mind that kJ/g - energy type info - would also come into play and the continued use of Mobil 1 oil.. if one were to change to some other oil like Royal Purple then the reverse may happen when coupled with the higher quantity of nitrile say in GoodYear tires. so in other words you would need a mirco power analyzer like my PA900 which I just hooked up to my 2013 Grand Sport M6. you can see I get 7 more watts of power than my neighbors Automatic C6 .

I was confused as to what "C6 Snowboarder" was trying to say, until I saw the image below showing +7.487 Watts .... That now makes sense to me since this whole measurement is based on a standard 60.0 Hz signal.
