Default Will it go?

Afternoon!
Is there anyone here with a stock Z06 that lives near Leander, TX and is willing to come by my house to see if your car can enter my driveway without scrapping anywhere? I'm in the market for another Z06 but just moved to a new house that has a very steep driveway and I want to make sure she'll go before I purchase. A neighbors '99 Viper GTS is very close to scrapping it's nose. I'm most definitely not asking you to actually scrape your car; if it looks close, we'll stop of course.

Feel free to PM me here or text/call 214-984-8688.

Thanks!

Looks like a severe angle from that pic

It is... However, off to the right while facing the driveway, it is less severe. I think it will be either very close or just kiss it (I hope anyway).

You could always back up the driveway!

It will scrape based on those pics. Good news is you've got plenty of yard to make a more gradual driveway!

I can all but guarantee my car would not make it. Not even driving through the stones to the right in the pic. No chance..

Go to your local dealer and take a test drive expressing your concern. I’d also get a couple concrete guys to give you a free estimate on making the entrance not so steep. I know people who have redone their whole driveway pretty cheap. I don’t think it would cost that much. The vette isn’t that bad, you’d probably have an issue with any real sports car.

Lesson learned. Next time, buy that car THEN design the layout and pour the driveway.

If the Viper doesn't I don't see why the Z06 shouldn't have a chance to get up the drive way without an issue. Granted it is hard to tell in the photo. The Viper has 4.5" clearance and the Z06 is 5". Granted that is only flat clearance.
The recommendation of going to test drive one and see for yourself is a great option. You should be able to find a Z06 or even a GS to test drive and run it up to the house to check.
They both have the same stance

You may need to utilize an angel approach.

I have both the Viper and Z06. The Viper is slightly lower, so you should be OK. I would approach that driveway at an angle and stay right. There are driveway contractors that can take the slope out by filling in that area where the turn is. That seems to be the steepest angle. I had to add additional asphault to the approach to my Barn to eliminate the slope. You should be able to find a good concrete guy that can do that if needed.

As others have stated - extend the right side of the driveway down straight to the street. This would give you a better angle of approach.

"Any real sports" car of today is going to have an axle lift system to lift the nose for these exact scenarios.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Definitely will have to be at an angle from the far right if at all possible. You can't tell from the pic but my property line is at the right edge of the driveway unfortunately so, I think extending a flat portion of the driveway to the right is out unless my neighbor will let me extend my drive to his property. The view sold my wife and we stole the house because of the driveway so, I HAVE to figure out how to make this work! I've been checking for months but can't seem to find a dealer within 30 miles of me with a C6 Z06. Maybe I'll open my search to a grand sport just to test drive over.

I'm in the fairways at crystal falls. I think the base C6 would be just fine and only the wind deflector underneath will scrape; I'm worried about the nose of a Z06.

My base c6 scraped way more than my GSs, FWIW.

Since it's a concrete driveway, I would simply have the drive angle lessened and change the entrance angle slightly. (see the line)

Problem is, that's over my property line.

So you can build a wall and throw down a bunch of rock over your property line, but not some concrete?
