Default the C7 is AGONIZING

After only 6 years of production the second shortest in Corvette history, it's sitting on respirator almost dead. the Bowling Green factory parking is overfill, all Chevy dealers inventory have too many unsold C7 even some 2017 models and there's nobody running and screaming to buy one before it's too late. GM would have to give HUGE incentive to get rid of them. I have never been a C7 fan although it is superior from any previous generation before, i cannot pinpoint if it is the front or the back or maybe the side view of the car i just don't get it.Of course the fact that the C8 tsunami is coming does not help. R.I.P. C7. Thanks for reading.

It is unfortunate that even now, more than 5 years later, certain individuals just can't control themselves and continue to disparage another generation Corvette and spew vitriol, as if their own choice wasn't evidence enough of what they either prefer or can afford. They find it necessary to go out of their way to offer unsolicited negativity, in the adolescent form of spewed-out garbage without regard to camaraderie or the shared adoration most of us here have to our beloved cars. Very sad. I personally love all Corvettes and would never go out of my way to insult or denigrate one. Every single one I see turns my head and every single one I encounter I spend time to admire. Whether at the track, on the road or at a show.

My brother-in-law has a C6 Base. I have a C6Z and and C7Z. He purchased the C6 base because he also loves Corvettes and that is what he could afford. It is a gorgeous, capable car that I heap sincere praise on every time he comes over with it. I told him if he ever wants to sell it that I'm first in line, as I love the clean lines, sculptured curves and confident posture of his car. Never would I disparage his Corvette just so I can feel better about myself and my own choices. And one of my closest friends has a C6ZR1 and a C7ZR1. He treats me and my cars the same way I treat my brother-in-law's, with sincere admiration and respect. If he has a negative opinion then I've never heard it, and he has never attempted to make me feel like my cars are any less beautiful or capable than his (even though both of his cars are both of those things).

"I prefer the styling of the C6 generation" is vastly different than saying "XX generation is butt ugly, agonizing, hate it etc". One is a statement of preference and the other is a self-aggrandizing, puerile attempt at post-purchase rationalization typically uttered by those with small, unsure minds who repeat it to feel better about themselves via insults and negativity. To continue to utter and repeat such idiocy for years on a site dedicated to Corvettes is embarrassing and shameful. Grow up.

Love the performance parts and interior. Exterior is butt ugly to me. I don't know the numbers but think many are not a fan of the looks and there is a lot of hype around the C8.

Local dealers were selling leftover 2017’s at 25% off of list. Sort of feel bad for people who bought one at full price. Resale has to be crap.

GM doesnt seem too worried. If they were worried they would have shut the c8 rumors down.

What does this have to do with the c6?

That and the fact that nearly everyone who wants and can afford a C7, has a C7.

Maybe they should give them away with the purchase of a Suburban!

The same thing happened with the C6 in 13, if'n anyone cares to recall. This isn't anything new. They gave heavy incentives to buy the outgoing cars and then had no incentives to buy the new 14s. It worked out well. It's difficult to argue with the sales numbers of the C7. Personally, I hate the way they look, and I've tried desperately to like them and to want one, but I just don't. At this point, they can offer 0% for 72 months and discount them to under invoice and I still wouldn't trade my 427 on one. And I can hardly tell ya how much I wanted to buy a new Vette. The air was let out of me the first time I saw the Jalopnik spy shot, and it's been downhill from there.

The C8 coming out is what’s keeping many on the fence. I for one never had to have a Corvette until the C7 Z06 came out. Love my 17 M7.

I like pretty much everything about the C7 and will get one...some day. They tail lights and head lights flow with the C7 design. I have never disliked the look. After driving one I am hooked. But gonna wait a littlle longer......

Default I love my C6, waiting for my C8.... someday

The dealer lots in Louisville are loaded C7s. There will be a big discount on them one day soon when the C8s come out. C7s will be cheap, C8s will be MSRP. C6s prices will drop too but not dramatically. I am waiting for a C8s. I love my C6 so I am in no big hurry

while I do prefer the looks of the C6 over the C7, I would have no issue with buying a C7 if I could.
my main issue with them, is one I don't think I've heard before. I much prefer the looks of the C6 gauges over the C7.
I'm sure it's generational ( 56yro ), but I've never been a fan of digital displays. I've always loved the C6's layout.
also for me, being 6'-2", the leg room ( length ) in the C7 is a lot better for me, but it does have less foot room ( width ).
i'll be up for a newer ride soon ( next year or so ). maybe then I can add a C7 to stable.

having had my current c6 for 5 years, I am getting the upgrade itch. As I won't be buying a car this summer, I still have some time to think it through. That being said; I don't know if I would replace a c6 with a c7. The C7 is spec'd a bit better (nicer interior, bit more horsepower, 7 speed with rev-matching, electronic rear diff, etc.) but the c6 is more car than you can safely use on the street and on a track/autocross circuit the differences are going to come down to driver ability given how close the performance is.

Now that being said; if something happened to my c6 and I had to replace it, I wouldn't buy another c6. I would consider a c7 z51 but would be cross shopping it against a few German competitors as well.

I would consider a deeply discounted, loaded ZO6 Convertible.

At a dealership yesterday and they still had a new 17 sitting in the showroom. They can't give them away around here. Of course, where I live you can only drive them 5 or 6 months a year. Putting black wheels on every car that comes off the carrier turns me cold and makes me not want one. I'm keeping my Anniversary vert for as long as I can.

I recently went to a dealership to test drive the C7. I didn't even get in the seat. Bought a 2013 Grand Sport and love it. My 5th C6 since 2008.

I thought the same thing, and I waited out the entire C7 run for them to put them on fire-sale like they did with C6's back in 13/14. I figured if they were giv'n them away and offering 0% forever, I'd jump in then. As much as I dislike the outside, the inside seems pretty nice and the car really is awesome. But then when flange's car was up for sale, all those ideas went out the window and I bought it. Partly figuring it wouldn't lose value and I'd be able to swap up later without taking a bath, if I decided a C7 was a good enough deal to jump on. Well, that new-er car itch was scratched, and I really like my 13. So with the way I feel about the C7 exterior, at this point I don't think if it came with 5 years of dealer reacharounds, that I'd buy one.

I'm a bit conflicted here. I agree, I don't like any digital dash. Screams C4 to me, though todays displays are way ahead of those days. They're still just another thing to take a crap and GM won't be making them. Mark my words. I agree though, that's a big turn off to me. For the record, I've mentioned that here before too.

One that I have not seen and again, is a big stumbling block to me, I find the C7 colors highly uninspired. Back in 15, the least popular color was an orange that was really awesome in person. Looked like hell on the website and in color swatches on brochures, but that was a cool orange. They of course did away with that. Beyond that, I'm not sure I've seen a single C7 in a color where I stopped in my tracks thinking, 'damn, that looks nice'. My NRB C6? Damn, that looks nice.

Yea that never really happened. When I bought my '13 GS the deals were great. My MSRP was $64,100. I got $8K dealer discount, 3K GM rebate and 3K owner loyalty (I had a 2012 I traded in) for a $14k discount. They really don't give those owner loyalty and GM rebates anymore.
