$250 turd.
ACC GM Licensed Series SS Exhaust Filler Panel Installation on Chevy Corvette C6
I know it's only fair to speak with the vendor when you have a problem, but this piece of **** product doesn't deserve the courtesy. I'm have no issue with the vendor, it's the product, made by American Car Craft in Hudson Florida,.that has me pissed.
Let me qualify by saying I'm a degreed engineer, a journeyman machinist, and a respectable mechanic. Without going into whining detail, I'll simply say I'm tossing $250 in the dumpster. Case closed and forgotten.

$250 lesson learned.
There's a reason I don't buy any of the add on, stick on, bolt on aftermarket accessories. I've made my fair share of contributions to that same dumpster.

I fully understand not accepting a sub par product, but instead of throwing it away, why not return it and get your $250 back.

The actual part wasn't bad. A little thin and some cheap edging, but acceptable.
The written instructions state that all you'll need is a screw driver. The video says rather than make a part that fits, they ask you to bend the OEM hanger studs and force the exhaust to fit the part. And not a little bit... you have to force the mufflers over an inch above their designed position and expect the OEM "rubber hangers" to hold them there. This, only after you discover that superman couldn't "simply slide the rubbers" off of their studs to begin with. I defy any man to do this as shown in the video. I ended up jacking the car up and and removing the mounts which was no small feat. You also need to bend the studs sideways to accommodate the muffler spread... all by trial and error. Having accomplished this, you simply position the part over the exhaust tips and secure in place with double sided tape and four small self-drilling screws. Except the geometry of the part doesn't allow this. Bend the hangers some more, bend the part just a little bit, and voila, the back flange of the part is interfering with the mufflers. No problem, I'll grind a little relief in the flange... f'k the warranty. Now I can position the part for the two sided tape... if "position" means pull it up to the rear valance with c-clamps. Screw the part to the valance, remove the clamps, remove the jack stands that are holding the mufflers up. and step back to admire the results. Whoa, why is one side a half inch lower than the other? No problem, repeat all preceding steps until correct. I might add that the manufacture states that the interference was engineered into the installation to eliminate rattles. Good thinking there.
Actually, I got the part installed to the satisfaction of most eyes. Who knows when the bending, prying, and forcing are going to let go, but hey. By this time I said there's no way that piece of **** is going to grace my Vette and I made the "walk of pissed-offed-ness" to the trash. The end

Sorry you wasted money but thank you for not leaving it on your car. The worst part of any exterior polished stainless steel piece is when the Florida sun hits it then blinds the guy in the lanes behind you. Especially if you are on the Skyway or Howard Frankenstein bridge.

I purchased a stainless / polished / perforated alternator cover from the same company ... American Car Craft in Hudson, Florida
Way overpriced for what it is. I guess I even lowered the value of it by painting it black ... I am happy with the cover, but I paid alot more for it than what I believe it should have cost (paid $167 shipped)
