What were the major disconnects (if any) required to raise the motor high enough to perform the change ?

I chose to drop the cradle instead of raising the engine as I don't think you can raise it high enough.
First time I did it was with a cherry picker supporting the engine. It's harder since the legs are right under the oil pan and it basically trapped the cradle under the car.
Second go around I just used ratchet straps around the headers attached to the rafters above the engine. Way easier since there's no cherry picker legs under the car and you wouldn’t need to remove the hood.
It was a 2 hr job from changing the oil pan gasket from start to finish the second time I did it.
Off the top of my head when I did my oil pan:
Jack front of the car up and drain oil
Support engine
Remove front wheels
Remove upper control arms hardware
Remove lower shock mount hardware
Remove EBCM hardware
Remove power steering cooler hardware
Support front cradle with jack
Disconnect steering shaft
Disconnect steering rack lines
Remove 4 cradle mount nuts
Lower cradle
Remove oil pan and replace gasket.
Reverse steps for install

No major disconnects. Everything stays in place, exhaust, steering rack and starter. the main issue is lowering the front cradle enough to work the pan out past the oil pick-up while raising the engine about two inches. No special tools or lifts were used, just hand tools jack stands and a hydraulic jack. I used black Permatex on the both sides to seal the new gasket. When I finished mine I posted a thread on the experience here on the forum. As I remember there was a also a member from Colorado who also posted his experience. Do a search here on the Forum for the posts. Look on Youtube for a video. Not hard but it takes about 8 or 9 hours the first time you do it. The second time maybe half that time.

I would much rather sit on my porch and drink, and pay my buddy to work on my car. That also helps me from being the richest guy in the graveyard.
