Default Z06 mufflers on a GS ?

Hello guys i would like to put those on my 2011 GS 6mt to get a little more sound. The seller think this is incompatible. Is that true.

You will need the exhaust manifolds and cats from a Z06 to make it a bolt on but only if you have a manual transmission. A good exhaust man can adapt the muffler if you just want to use the mufflers only.

farmington is correct. The x-pipe will not work with base cats. If you have a manual trans. the muffs can be massaged to work with your base x-pipe. but it will take some cutting and adapting...more work than might be worth. If sound is your only objective, take a look at the "muffler mod" threads which are effective, at virtually no cost. They generally involve cutting a 1.5" hole in the bottom of the muff skin, and through the core, then pulling out some glass, and popping in a metal plug, which you can get from any hardware store.

You can also get some Z06 Billy Boat headers and it will bolt up to that Z06 Mid-Pipe but it will eliminate the cats though. If you have the Z06 mid pipe and mufflers. But no the mufflers won't mate to your base mid-pipe without work.

If you don’t mind a little work you can cut the inlet pipes off of your mufflers and put them onto the Z06 mufflers.

I went from 3in ZO6 manifolds, mid-pipe and H pipe to 2.5in axle back. I already had a Borla ATAK but needed new Cats so i just add a ZO6 system. As you can see from the pic we had to cut the H pipe a little short then bend and add some extension to get around the transmission. We didn't modify the axle back so it can be replaced at any time without issue.
