BTW, thanks for the updated pics! Just noticed them when I scrolled up! Welcome to the Grand Sport club! That is a very nice looking GS indeed!
Also, as I said I would snap a pic and just like OH Boy, mine doesn't have a bolt in there either and it is probably for another platform. But definitely not needed. Someone mentioned maybe they used it for a lift, but I wouldn't think that bolt would be strong enough for that. But who knows. Definitely a little odd.
Here is mine with an empty hole.

there is definitely a lot a great info on this forum. This is my 5th corvette and I loved them all. This one has the 100 year anniversary stripes on it, I wasn’t crazy about them at first but they are growing on me. Any thoughts pro or con on the 100 year Chevy stickers?

its a black car with the matte black stripes so you don’t see them right away. They were on the car when I got it, all factory stuff interior too. I’ll post some pics

Sounds like a Centennial Edition to me...particularly if there are corresponding interior upgrades as well. I'd leave them on, they're supposed to be there.

The last picture looks like Carbon Flash Metallic paint so along with the interior shots it does appear to be a Centennial. The vast majority of Centennials delivered with matte black wheels as well, so either a previous owner swapped them out or it was special ordered with chrome.

I've wondered what that is supposed to mean since the first time I saw it. In English, it's just a bunch of random letters that do not form a word.
Is it supposed to be "caddyshack"?
Ah, government schools -- ain't they great? Attachment 48336956

That's were I bolted up my catch can bracket. It came with a bolt exactly like that and a sleeve/spacer to take up the extra space. Mounting it there tucks the catch can under the fuel rail cover, right above the heater lines; as opposed to mounting to the head which has it stick out. My guess is the previous owner had a catch can and removed it before selling/trading the car in. He either mount the can there or that's were he put the bolt back in after removing it. All those holes are threaded the same.

So as long as you get plenty of good useful/legit replies then a few smart axxes are ok? Thanks for clearing that up, OP sorry for another useless post by me.
