R1 Pads - Thoughts?
Hello,
Been going back and forth on brake vendors for a while, but now feel sold on R1 Concepts' rotors and pads package.
Car is a for daily and AutoCross.
I am for sure going with slotted rotors! However, I am not sure which pads to choose. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

- Ceramic: like OEM, but not...? Softer, quieter, cleaner.
- Optimum OEp: OEM style. Not sure how this is different from ceramic.
- Semi-Metallic: Better initial bite, but a bit noisier and dustier. Also good for cold weather (does not apply to me, as I am in Florida)
- Performance Series: Best performing, but dusty and noisy. Seems good to me, but maybe too aggressive for AutoX 5ish times a year.
Thanks!

If you're doing autocross, go performance. Ceramic pads are not performance pads.
Personally, I like stoptech street pads and have heard good things about the new duralast gt pads. I would use one of those 2.

Race pads maybe. Not performance street pads though.
R1concepts is not new or small. They just resell stuff. At one opint it was all centric stuff resold. I suserct by now they have switched to a lower cost supplier. I had their stuff on a previous dsily. It was ok, but not better thsn anything else.
Personally, i wou.d go duralast gt. Lifetime warranty is tough to beat.
