Removing tcs & cigarette switch??
Hello. Trying to install my new cf console. I’m removing the old one but the traction control and cigarette switch are giving me a hard time. Any secrets? Thanks

Plain and simple, they can be a real bitch! Do a forum search. I seem to remember threads addressing removal of these two connectors.

I just went through this, allI can I offer is Patience and a set of picks to release some of the little tabs that fingers can’t reach.
Re-assembly is a bit more trying, due to not wanting to nick or scratch new surfaces.
good luck.

Have had mine out a couple of times; it's been a while, but, if memory serves me correctly, this is how I did it. First, disconnect the wiring harness/clips from each. The TC switch is the easiest of the two; push in on the two tabs on the side while pushing it out through the of the console. For the cigarette lighter socket, there is a small notch towards the bottom of the hole it's in near the bottom edge of the bezel. You need to twist the socket to line up one of the tabs with this notch and the work the socket out, takes a little finesse and patience.

The picks really help. Having said that I did end up breaking the connector on my TCS button but that was probably after the 4th or 5th pull of the panel. I had many issues with faulty components on my aftermarket head unit installation and pulled that console panel at least a half dozen times.
