Default Interior gray paint damage

Due to resting my knee, while driving, on the side panel the steel gray paint has worn out. It actually looks more like plastic/cloth material than
paint. Does anyone know how to repair it? Picture attached.

Other than it taking time, it is not too complicated to remove the console which is the only way to repair that piece by repainting or covering in another manner.

If you've never taken the console out, give yourself an hour or two to go slow and figure out where all the screws and connectors are located.
