Default My C6 search is over. Need some recommendations.

FINALLY! I found C6 seats within a reasonable drive, and picked these up for $200.

My plan is to install new foam and covers, and then install just the seats into the C5 tracks in my wife's 1999 C5. I have a 2013 C6, and I really like the last revision of C6 seats, so my plan is to get foam kits and covers for the 2012-2013 style seats.

I've researched the forum and read everything that I could find on this. My concern is that many of the places that sold foam kits are no longer in business.

Is my only option a GM affiliated source, or are other vendors still out there? Just trying to explore all of my options.

Thanks in advance. I have learned so much from this forum.

C5 and C6 at camp. Going to put the C6 seats in the C5

West Coast Corvettes, and others, have them. Do NOT buy from CorvetteMods.

jimijam, I looked at the WCC website and their seat foam kits just say 2005-2013. The part numbers for the 2012-2013 years are different from GM, because of a design change to the upper bolster.

And, thank you for the info about Corvette Mods. They are someone that I would never deal with.

FAUEE,

Check out their website. The C6 offerings only go to 2011. They do not list the newer 2012-2013 design.

You may have to call them, they at one point had the conversion foam on ebay for like 800. I looked into it for my old 2010, but after the covers were factored in i was going to be at like 2500 bucks for a cosmetic upgrade.

Thanks, I will call them about the foam. I'm probably going with Ridies for the covers.

If you are going to replace the seat foam replace all the pieces. One of our forum vendors is Cultrag which is a GM Parts supplier. Go to their website and take a look and then give them a call just to make sure you have app the pieces. They also have the seat skins. full replacement will not be cheap but do it right the first time and you will be glad you did.

They are from the same car. Just lighting and wear issues.
