Porter Cable is good for all paints...Blade Silver is one of the easier colors to correct I think....Go to youtube and look at a few videos for a good idea..even try Autogeek...They have how too's and what to buy....and give great service and quick shipping.

Ask in the Auto Care section. Plenty of good help over there.

Any Random Orbital buffer is fine and will not harm the paint. The Porta Cable is the most affordable.

You can't go wrong with the Porter Cable 7424XP. It is literally impossible to damage your paint with it, and it's super easy to use. I suggest checking out Junkman2000 on YouTube. He has a great beginners series that I used myself.

I have been thinking about buying one but after I paint correct I shouldn't have to use it again as long as I take care of my paint. Almost seems like a waste of money.

It costs less to buy the buffer and all of the supplies you'd need than it would to pay someone to do it for you. And always remember that unless you never plan on buying another car again, you will use it again eventually.

There is no such thing as a one time paint correction. Even with the best technics in washing and drying over time you will get more swirls and fine scratches.

You can use a buffer to add your wax or what ever you use every few months does a better job then putting on by hand.

I have a 6” and a 3” buffer that I use all the time. I did such a great job on my car that I also do my wife’s car and all the kids too. Porter Cable is a standard but I use Griots Garage for waxing, buffing and light paint correction. Tim

The Griots dual action buffer for about $150 is the best bang for the buck because of the torque. Using the 5.5 inch vented backing plate severely reduces the heat build up transferred to the pad, which will greatly extend your pad life. Autogeek has several "Starter" kits with various buffers and products that can save you money. They also have excellent "How to" videos on how to properly do paint correction.

None really. Get a DA polisher since it's mostly idiot proof and polish away. They are pretty much all the same with differing build quality and features from what I've researched.
