Default Looking for new mirror covers

After three years of using the Novastreach mirror covers I'm done. These covers are sometimes almost impossible to remove when tucked in between the mirror and the mirror housing. I have had to actually cut one off because they get hung on the inside of the mirror tilt assembly. What other covers are available that offer good road debris protection and are easy on and off. Thanks

There must be something better out there for a reasonable price. Painting the mirrors cost me $60 each about five years ago.

Why are you looking for the covers? to protect the paint that you had done 5 years ago? Why not have them vinyl wrapped? It won't look as "bulky" either.

I use an old gift card. Slide it between the cover and the mirror and follow it around the mirror as you remove them. It keeps the elastic in the cover from catching.

. That is in the instructions that come with them. Works great, take your time.

Thats what I do and they still will catch either on the bottom or the top. About one in three installations they don't catch but when they do it is almost impossible to get them free even rotating the mirrors with the driver's side doors controls. Thats why I want to go a different direction on the covers.

Just replaced mine with the leather Cover Craft type. They fit very tight and look nice. I am going to leave mine on for a while and see if they stretch any. The Velcro tape that is supposed to hold them on is too short on one side. Of course, that is easy to fix at a shoe shop.

I am definitely saving the old ones as they did protect and no one wanted them. I, too, had to cut them to get them off when they snagged on the mirror clips. I believe they were Novastretch but not sure.

Wrapping? Maybe. I could even match the color.

Cover Craft Mirror Covers in place. They do stretch a little; my velcro is working now.

The covers from Speed Lingerie go down the stem to within about a half inch of the door skin. If they went down all the way they would possibly chafe the door skin.(Speed Lingeries explanation). Picture later today.
