Default Best replacement plug/coil pack wires?

My LS3 C6 has all of 9300 miles on it. 2 years ago I installed Kooks headers. No problems until today:

I took her out for a drive and noticed that it seemed to be running on 7 cylinders. A quick check confirmed this: one of the coil bank wires had come off. The inside looked poorly crimped from the factory. Now, these wires have been disconnected exactly once since leaving the factory, and that was to install the headers.

I'm thinking of replacing the stock wires with MSD plug wires. From a search I think the part number 32829 is what I should use.

Any thoughts? Is this the correct MSD part number others use? The stock wires pi**ed me off because of the poor quality.

I switched to MSD many years ago, for the very same reason. Their connectors are superb, it will not come off the coils or break. Good choice.

Google MSD and get the correct part #....I put them on my 08 years ago 8 1/2 mm and no way in hell that they will come off like the oem wires.

OEM wires on my 157K mile '08. Had them off and on several times. Nary a problem. Just sayin'.

The OEM wires don't need "upgraded", they typically last for many years without needing replaced

I cannot recall the part number but you can look it up on the MSD web pages.

I agree with the above... One reason the wires pop off is because people use lube on the connector so the wire will come off easy the next time..The lube doesn't allow the wire connector to seal onto the coil and heat causes pressure which pushes the connector off the post....WW

I went with the OEM plugs, but changed wires to Taylor. Also used a little die electric grease on wires, and antisieze on plugs.
No issues.

I think the headers are your problem, they expose the wires to higher temperatures. Most people with headers put little woven fiberglass insulator sleeves over the plug wires. The MSD wires may come with them or have them available as an option.

I already have the insulators installed and have ceramic coated headers. It's not a header issue.

It's definitely the poor quality of the stock wires. They'll be replaced shortly.
