Future C6 owner but need your input.
My budget is roughly 22k OTD, I found this 07 two hours from me. I understand that 08 is vastly improved over 07, but I cannot find an 08 at the condition I like around my price point. They're either high mileage or poorly taken care of.
I was able to reduce the sale price to 20k for the C6 below, I believe it is a 3LT package, no Z51 from what I can tell. They told me it got heated seats and HUD. I plan on enjoying it for a few years and reselling it. How much will you pay for this car? Or if anyone has a 08+ for sale in the Los Angeles area for around 20k let me know.

Heated seats are great. Yes love heated seats.

20k seems like a pretty solid price. Is the rest of the interior in pretty good shape? Does the dealership know about past maintenance at all? Like is the dealership the same dealership that serviced it through its life thus far?

The selling dealership does not know much about the service history of this vehicle, it was a trade-in. From the pictures, it seems like it is in really good condition.

Go for it. LS2 to LS3 is not a huge difference in performance.
I can tell you the base suspension sucks for a sports car. I had to switch out my stock suspension for Johnny O’Connell as I couldn’t stand the plush ride

There is nothing wrong with a 2007 or the LS2. If you like it, buy it. Looks great in the pictures.

If the car is as clean as it looks in the pictures $20k is a good deal for an 07 with manual transmission.
If you're looking a buying a Corvette I suggest you download the Corvette DNA app to your smart phone as it puts lots of useful info at your fingertips.

Just downloaded the app, very neat. Might go down tomorrow and check out the vehicle. Wanted to go today but they'll be close by the time I get there.

have it check by a good mechanic, do not rely on Carfax it is a selling gimmick, it look like a good car. Good luck.

Drifting
Make sure the tires have good tread. They will be a bit pricey to replace. Don't expect to get more than 20-25k out of them. Ask the dealer for one free 4 wheel alignment as the wide tires can make the driving experience feel a little different than some are familiar with. These cars can be twitchy when the rear is a bit out.

Stop at the neareast GM dealer with your Vin # , go to the service dept and ask if they can run a GMVIS report for you. It will have all the maintenance done, recalls, issues while it was under warranty or serviced at any GM dealer, and all the cars options.
They are supposed to do it for free.
Just say you are interested in the car, and would like to see the report.
Good luck

Advanced
I was also shopping the last couple months and found an 08 LS3 with all the options for under $20k from private seller. Overall I found that private sellers had much better history on vehicles and easier to negotiate if you were serious.
But the 07 in the pictures looks great and I wouldn't hesitate if you like the condition and Carfax checks out.

Kraz, looks like a fair deal with a dealer-deal to me, if it checks out.
Look under the car, esp in the front, how much the bottom has been scraped up. How much stuff is on the front of the radiator.
Tire wear: a clue to the state of alignment. Budget for an alignment anyway, money well spent.
Under the hood: get a good flashlight and look for wobble in the crank damper on the front of the motor.
Open the cabin air filter box on the passenger side of the firewall in the engine compartment, check out the filter there.
DIC: scroll through the DIC, hopefully you can test drive long enough to find out of the tire pressure sensors are responding OK.
Great cars, get one, see you down the road!

Don't expect it to look as nice in person as it does in pics....they almost never do. If it looks that good, or close, and runs great, grab it. The 3LT is very nice to have, and you will love everything about the car. As others have said, get a VIS from an GM dealer. What fluids do not show as being changed, change them. It is a good idea to start fresh.

Is that really a 3LT? I thought the 3LT was the full leather interior, dash and all. I could be mistaken, but I thought that was the top-of-line full zoot package. The pictures look more like the base interior to me.
