So, I noticed this on the car the first time I saw it but it didn't occur to me that it wasn't OEM. But as I'm looking into the M2W controller and watching some videos, I noticed that this emblem is not on the exhaust on those cars. Is this common? Who thinks it's corny? - won't hurt my feelings as I didn't do it. I'm leaning towards leaving it there since it didn't jump out as corny to me, or even unusual, until I noticed it not there on other C6's.
It appears that it is one of the many exhaust enhancer plates available from different vendors. It really is up to you. I don't have one on my C6, but I had one on my C5 that I modified. I removed the C5 logo and replaced it with Jake.
When I purchased my C6 I removed some of the additional Corvette insignia that the prior owner had installed. I left some others that I think are tasteful.
Your car, your choice. Only opinion that matters is yours.
It looks less corny than most appearance mods done on these cars. In fact, I think it's the only good looking decorative part you could put there. Not a fan of all the fillers and skull plates people are posting. I'd rather not have anything there. I like the debaged look anyways.
Either way, you've got yourself an extra C6 emblem! ha
I've got a flat black cover plate similar to this photo but I've never put it on. I do think the exposed NPP hardware looks pretty cheesy but I wouldn't do one with a logo or graphic or chrome.
Question for you guys. So, this pic was taken with the car not running and the NPP fuse is in and doesn't appear to be blown. Based on the position of the actuators in this pic, is my exhaust open, as in stuck open, or is it in the closed position? Car doesn't seem loud to me at startup but sounds good when I start it up, and sounds significantly better at startup than my neighbors C7 base.

Duh, never mind - I see that they open with the engine off and then quickly close at startup.
This works for me to cover the ball on the hitch. Before you ask or hate on it, I tow my race tires to the track on a small trailer. It's a go car, not a show car.
