Got to go to Biminis for great local seafood and Joes for the best Hamburgers in the Upper end of Myrtle. If go toward Murrells Inlet there are several great seafood resturants down there. If in Garden City area, Sara J is awesome also. Biminis by far my favorite but be prepared to wait if go from 5 to 8, but so well worth it. Try their oyster shooters. Prices are very reasonable and food great. Better than the food troughs along Hwy 17.

If you end up near Calabash, try the Bagel Dock for a breakfast sandwich. Line can get long, but it moves fast.

Ella's in Calabash,NC (right across the state line) is a great bargain for fresh local seafood. My fav place is Bubba's Love Shak in Murrells Inlet. Their shrimp and grits are amazing!

Default Murrells Inlett

What is the name of the seafood restaurant in Murrells Inlet that has a BIG anchor out front. I haven't been there
in years . They use to have a wonderful buffet. Seems it was located on Old US 17.

Lee's Inlet Kitchen at Murrell's Inlet has always been our favorite. But I think any of the places down at Murrell's are very good. Some good ones up in Calabash, NC as well, but Murrell's is south of MB and Calabash is well north. There are lots of touristee seafood buffet type places (Capt. "insert catchy name here" Seafood) in MB, we call them "scarf 'n barfs" and typically don't go to them - my wife has this thing about buffets in general. If you are a big eater, you get a lot for the $$ but most are just "so-so" compared to other places mentioned.

Drunken Jacks- Murrells inlet- good food, steaks, lots of free hushpuppies
Dead Dog- Murrlells inlet- another good one.
Murrells Inlet is the seafood capital of the area.
Bimini's- North of Myrtle Beach (Arrohead lake road)- the BEST scallops, and seafood,
Chuck's Steak House- on 17 ( Near Bimini's) - Great happy hour (32 oz beers $6, $6 light meals) free popcorn, cheese & crackers. Get in line at 4pm when they open.
River City Cafe (several locations) We like the one in Surfside City. Lots of burger selections and other sandwiches, reasonably priced. Great onion rings.
Rioz Brazilian Sreakhouse- Upscale, pricey, but great quality and a treat.
Friendly's for affordable and good quality family breakfast.
Maggi D's- on Seaboard near Coastal Mall- Family owned authentic Italian.
Villa Romano's- on business 17, another great Italian place.
Tupelo Honey- comfort food and craft beers.
....and many, many more.

So much food..............so little time

I need a snack

I haven't eaten at any of the other places but I came here to recommend Villa Romana....the food is fantastic! My wife and I have been going there for over 25 years. Great Italian food.

Benny Rappas' on rt 17 and 15th ave. S in North Myrtle Beach. it's a small Italian restaurant so you will need a reservation (843 361 1056). if you want something that is not on the menu they will make it for you. we live here and this place is our favorite!

Thank you for all the suggestions!

Bimini's is great.

Also ate at the flying fish which was very good. And the Grumpy Monk while we were at Boardwalk on the beach was really good as well.

Sounds great...I will have to check that out next time I'm in town. Always looking for a good Italian restaurant.

I’ll second this. We hung out at pier 14 a couple nights. Crabby Mike’s in surfside was also pretty good for a buffet restaurant. A little pricey at almost 40 a person. I can’t usually eat enough to go to a buffet so it don’t pay me to go.

There are over 100 pancake houses to choose from. Seems to be a AARP special
