Default 06 Z51 time for new shocks?

Just purchased my first vette with 130K miles. Its a 2006 z51 just curious if it may be time to consider replacing shocks? The current shocks are the original ones but Im not familiar with the Magnetic Ride Suspension at all so no clue as to how long these original shocks last

Check the shocks to see if they are leaking at all. The big question with these shocks is....do you feel like they need new ones?

If mag ride shocks were not working they'd feel like you were hitting potholes. Like I said, check and see if you can see any of them leaking.

Do you have Z51 (FE3) or do you have F55 Mag. Ride? Cuz you can’t have both.

Well im an idiot i was under the impression that z51 was equipped with MSRC but clearly that is wrong I just did some more research so scratch my earlier question. The car has the Z51 performance package which makes my decision to swap out the original shocks a whole lot easier considering they have 130k miles on them. probably going to upgrade to the bilstein sports

Bilsteins are a great choice. I just changed my Z51 shocks out from OEM to the B8 Bilsteins and what a difference in ride quality by comparison (I had just under 100K)
My car is minimally lowered on the OEM lowering bolts
B8 Performance Plus Front Part Number: 24-029773
B8 Performance Plus Rear Part Number: 24-029780

Good Luck
