What do you mean by "intended for race tracks or off-road use only?" I thought people buy these for daily street driving.

Many after-market auto accessories (including ours) come with disclaimers that are there to limit liability. For example: LED driving lights, throttle controllers, etc., etc.

I have a Polaris slingshot and purchased something very similar to this, and I have to say the one I got for the slingshot is absolutely worth it, the extended view you get is amazing.
If this is anything like it, probably worth getting one.

See my write up above. Was very simple to install, like mentioned in the directions just make sure your aligned and all is well.
I did a practice run before I pulled the tape strips.
I really like the visibility while driving, opens up the whole side of the lane your in and the lane next to you.....

No pic... but there is noticeable gap (about 1/8") between the middle section of the panamirror and OEM mirror glass and the black bezel surrounding the OEM glass/mirror. Just did a dry-fit and see that the blocks of adhesive are too thick (IMHO).. I'm contacting them about this; possibly going to return if there isn't a feasible (alternative) mounting method they can provide.

Back side with 3M adhesive tape. Razer blade for scale to show how thick the tape is.
Even pressing relatively hard, the pana-view doesn't "seat" to the black bezel...
Another view... not a great pix... but the edge of the pana-view does not seat down; nestled up to the black bezel.
