Milestone reached
100,0000 miles
It took 10 years and 89,000 miles since I purchased the C6 with 11,000 on the clock.
This has been a great vehicle, probably the best car I've ever owned as far as trouble free miles.
It only runs from April 1-Nov. 1 of each year, gets laid up for the winter.
Most of the 89,000 miles that i've put on has been on many road trips, and each have been memorable and wonderful in one way or another.
This is what has been done mechanically, and regular maintenance items since 2009.
Change oil minimum once per year, usually before hibernation in the fall.
On my 3th battery including the OEM
On my 5th set of tires including my OEM tires
Changed coolant, flushed radiator and changed the hoses to silicone at 50K miles
Changed struts to Bilstein B8 at 85K miles (had changed out the OEM to OEM struts at approx 50K miles)
Changed out sway bar end links at 50K miles
Changed brake pads at approx 60K miles (still had 50% pad remaining)
No electrical issues with this C6 - Have not had the low beam headlights fail, so the recall has not been done. (I'll do it myself if required)
Tighten up every body bolt each hibernation period.
The only mechanical failure was a water pump seal leak at approx 30K miles. Replaced with OEM pump and no futher issue.
The Transparent top has deteriorated with spider webbing over the past few years. I have a spare top that will get refinished
over this coming hibernation and ready for next Spring.
Normally, 100,000 miles is no big deal on a vehicle, but in the Corvette Community, it seems to be taboo!!
Happy Travelling

Congrats. Here to another 100k+.
I'm at 217,000 mostly trouble free miles.

My C4 is at almost 120K now. I don't know why some people are scared to put miles on them. If you really think about it at the heart of everything they're small block powered chevys. Mechanically they will run forever if you take care of them especially the C5 and C6. I'm on the fence if I want to keep my C4 or look for a C5 ZO6. Maybe even wait 5 more years and see where the C6 Z's end up. Wouldn't be afraid to get one with 100k as long as it was taken care of.

My wife and I were coming back on a road trip when I pulled over to take a pic of the Odometer.
She thinks I'm crazy.....she may be right!

Congrats on the 100k. A quick question...why did you feel a need to change out suspension parts? Wear or just stronger stuff?

The way the roads are in the spring, and the transition bumps for the highway repairs, I could hear a clunk occasionally in the rear. I replaced the original shocks, and the sway bar links at the same time, and the noises went away.
I just recently changed to Bilstein shocks, just for a better ride than the OEM FE3 Z51 shocks. New tires this Spring helped the ride quality as well. I purchased the Michelin Pilot sport 4S and i'm real happy with the ride and traction both on dry and wet roads.

Nah. Not crazy, but was safe with her in the car.
This is just the beginning of crazy and it gets worse as the mileage gets higher.
