Waiting to hear from JW Motoring
I sent a PM to JW Motoring regarding the issue I posted about a few weeks ago regarding the TPMS on both of my front tires tossing error codes any time I use the LED fog light bulbs I bought from him some time ago. I love how much brighter they are than stock, but not liking the fact that both of the front TPMS sensors stop working every time I use them. I have a slow leak in my right front tire atm, which I plan on having fixed on Monday, but it's a safety issue to not have the TPMS working at all times. I'll post back once I hear word from him on a possible fix for the issue.

Has nobody else had this issue? I could have sworn I'd read about this problem somewhere here.

Anything is possible, but I don't see how the TPMS on your car would stop working because of the fog lights being on. I also bought the brighter LED fog lights from JWM about two years ago and have never had that problem. I have my fog lights on all the time when I drive my 2012 GS (I want people to see me). Very

I also bought fog lights from Jhonathan for my 08. Never had a tpms issue. I have LED flog light bulbs in my 09 now, though I did get this set elsewhere. Still no tpms issue. I'm curious to see where this goes.

12v LED lights have been known to cause RF interference w/ AM, FM, and VHF radios for years. It was first noticed by boat & RV guys maybe 10yrs ago. More widespread in the early days of LED replacement bulbs and not much of a problem later as most LED manufacturers corrected it, but it has been seen recently with the Morimoto head lights.

Apparently some LEDs can also affect TPMS wireless signals.
LEDs can be hit or miss. I've got them all over my car and don't have any radio or flashing dashboard light problems, but I've also got a box of LED bulbs that didn't quite work out. You can probably solve the problem by simply changing to a different brand of bulb.

That's sad. Not even an hour before you post, they were in the general forum spamming up a for sale thread of theirs. Priorities!

Sorry to hear that, I've had really good experiences with JWM over the years. I do know he had some trouble with his email/PMs lately with messages being lost. You might try again, or better still call him on the phone. Good luck with the psycho LEDs, been there, done that.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
Even 120 V LEDs can cause RF interference. Put them in the garage and when the lights are on I have to be very close for my home link to work. Lights off and it works from 3 houses down the block.
They make a product to block the interference, look on Amazon.....ferrite core I think.

I don't want to push things too much that the mods end up locking this thread. I'm really just wanting a solution to a problem that was very obviously caused by the fog light bulbs that another forum member might run into at some point. Since the bulbs came from JWM I'm looking to them to provide said solution, which I will provide to help future members. I have enough problems with my car right now; I don't need electrical problems too.

Heard back from JWM. They are sending me a replacement set to swap out to see if that fixes the issue.

Hopefully that will solve the problem. Different Chinese manufacturers use different circuit boards for their LED drivers. Some put out a lot of RFI, some almost none or at least a frequency that doesn't affect the car's electronics. Good luck, let us know how it works out.
