Default Sound deadening mats

I'm a new member to the forum and 1st time user.
I have a C6 2012 Grand Sport Coupe with the manual trans. and am trying to reduce the tire/road noise in the cabin. I saw the TKO Performance Blockit Sound Deadening Mats advertised on this forum and was wondering if anyone has used this product or is there a better way to get rid of some of the noise. Thanks for your input.

I have them in mine....work great.

As far as a better way....you can remove the entire interior, including the door panels, and install sound deadening material.....too much work for me.

I have a 2012 GS M6 also. The road roar made normal conversation impossible. As I already had the car mostly apart doing the head unit, cameras, and new leather, so it made sense to do something about the noise.

I bought the VetteNuts Premium pre-cut sound deadening kit and 2 boxes of the Noico butyl vibration dampener (from Amazon). I placed the Noico strategically throughout the cabin. Total weight of all the materials I used was ~21lbs including the tape. It was a ton of work, but worth it in the end.

Before the install, I used my phone and a decibel app to record my drive to work. Then did the same after the install and while I did not get the promised 10dB reduction, I am more than satisfied with the 6-8DB drop across the board and even at illegal speeds its still quiet enough to have a conversation in a normal voice.

Before: Average-78, Low-72, High-88.
After: Average 70, Low-66, High-82.

What tires do you have on it? My original Goodyear runflats were really noisy. I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport 4s non-runflats and it is much quieter and the ride is also greatly improved.

I bought the block it mats and am very pleased. Will it make the car “Cadillac quiet?” No, but it will take the edge off.

I also have the original Goodyear run-flats and was thinking that they are part of the problem. Looks like I will be buying some new tires and the TKO sound deadening mats. Thanks to all of you for help.

I had them in mine and took them out and sold them as I felt they made ZERO difference in mine. Seriously it sounded exactly the same in there.

Yep, I have the same tires. The previous owner changed from GY to the PS4s before I bought it. Here in the DFW area, all of our roads are concrete and they are loud even in the quietest cars.
