Default Piece of C7.R history

Excited to own a piece of Corvette Racing history... I bid on the front clip of Corvette #4 C7.R last weekend at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for which they had on auction... and I won!!! The proceeds were to benefit Operation Motorsports... The front clip is from the race at Watkins Glen the weekend before, when Corvette #4 (Driver: Tommy Milner) crashed on the first lap of the race... I was at that race as well...

Hoping to get a plaque done up for it with some details, then find a way to display it either in my home office, or the garage... I'm going to assume that this will be the last C7.R that will have raced at Watkins Glen, as I suspect that the C8.R will be ready for next year's races.

It was signed by all the drivers... Antonio Garcia, Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen, Tommy Milner and Marcel Fassler (as Tommy injured his wrist, Marcel took over the driving duties last weekend)...

Tommy actually put "Oops" under his signature...

Anyhow, I'm excited to own it, and will be up on a wall prominently displayed at some point in time...

Cool collectible!

Being a Ford guy also, would love any Carol Shelby collectible also.

Finally got around to making a picture frame and plaque for my front clip purchase... came out pretty good... bought a few decals online for the Corvette Racing and Jake logos, then had a plaque made with the details, then bought a yellow background for the picture frame and included a couple of photos of the car... I think it came out pretty nice... now I need to display it... that's the next project.

Am guessing your wife is absolutely thrilled and can't wait to have it mounted in her living room.

So I finally got around to painting my garage walls, so I was then able to mount my front clip and picture frame... looks cool... I like it... at the same time, since my walls are nice and newly painted, I was able to hang up everything else I've had accumulated over the years (and decades)... next project will be to paint my garage floor.

But I like the fact that I own a piece of C7.R history and that it's proudly displayed in my garage. The last C7.R (car #4) that ran at Watkin's Glen in 2019.

That looks really good. I hadn't seen the original post but you really got a great find, esp. since it's the last team C7 to race there. Congrats. Your garage and car look good!
