Default Borla, Corsa or ?

Good evening Forum,
I recently picked up a 2012 base coupe, my stock Sierra p/u has a better sounding exhaust. Just thought I would get some insight from guys who’ve been there, what say you?

I had borla years ago on another vehicle and while it sounded good I couldn’t get over the rolled tips so I removed them. I’ve had Corsa on several vehicles since and will never have anything else.

I’m also shopping for a exhaust. I have a Corsa on my Ram and it’s everything Corsa says it is, no drone and comes to life when you want it to...so Corsa for me.

Any thoughts on buying a used system?

I've sold several systems and most were in excellent condition so they can be had. The clamps are torque sensitive and can be re-used but new can be bought from the factory.

If you can find a nice one, go for it. I’m never happy with a used part that I buy on eBay...that is far from what the seller described.

When it comes to a $1600 exhaust system at half price and the pictures are quality, defects can be spotted. Poor pictures could be suspect.

Thanks for the input, I’m in an area with a lot of Vette clubs, I’ll have to start asking and watching. I would really like to hold the stuff in my hands before I buy if possible.

I've had Borla and Corsa and even Magnaflow...The Borla and Corsa both sound very good with no drone (type2 Borla)....The Tips however separate the wheat from the chafe. The Borla tips are cheap rolled stainless with not a very good finish either inwards or outwards..Passable but not spectacular especially for the price point..The Corsa tips in comparison are a work of art.

good luck...the 4.5's will look good on your vette.

I can only say about my preference and experience. Borl a was always to rough sounding for me . I went with the Corsa sports with kooks headers and x pipe with high flow cats. . Sounds just right. .

I'll give Borla (Atak) some love, has a very deep sound, screams at WOT. It does not have the exotic sound of Corsa. I was torn between the two, found a smoking deal on the Borla so that's what I went with. Had the tables been turned, and I could get the Corsa for such a good deal I'd have done that as well. The Borla pops and crackles like crazy on decel and between shifts; some don't like that, I absolutely love it. One benefit, it dropped 15 lbs off of the car. I personally like the tips with the dual walls and rolled lip, but to each their own. Choosing between these two exhausts is a great problem to have to deal with btw lol.

We can get you a Borla, Corsa, or Akrapovic setup for your vehicle!

Lets make your Vette sound better than your truck lol!

Corsa on my C5 and now my C6. Both pre-owned with no issues.
