Finally did it...bought C6Z site unseen b/c JSB
Hey Everyone,
After lurking around for years and then finally joining this forum last year, I have purchased my first corvette. A 2008 JSB Corvette Z06 site unseen. The phone call was literally 15min long. Took delivery a couple of weeks ago. Dealer in Dallas told me it was all stock. Come to find out there is a halltech intake. There are small imperfections like the small hole in the drivers side seat, one of the power windows switches on the drivers side door pops off easily...but the power window motor still works. It drives solid and dead straight.
Next Monday, I will be taking her to Aikman Performance in Cedar Park, TX (NW of Austin, TX) to have the heads fixed. What is interesting is that the bolts for the heads are marked with an orange mark/dot. From what I have read an seen on youtube, this is typically done to mark which bolts have been torqued. I do not think these orange marks are from the factory. So there is a good chance that the heads may have already been fixed. But since I do not have a receipt or proof that they have been done. I will proceed with having the heads fixed.
This thing scares the crap out of me and I have all nannies on! LOL!
It is going to be a blast getting to know this car.

Wow, I love JSB, and funny enough, I did the same thing (But a step more).
My car was in Houston TX and I'm from CT. Sight unseen, I bought a ticket and flew out. After a test drive and a bay inspection (Which led to a clutch bleed, a new battery, new front tires, and A/C recharge) I signed papers and started my 2,300 mile drive home.
Car was flawless the whole trip! Two years later and not a single issue to be found. Like you, I had a couple things that needed attending to (hood latch cover piece, new e-brake handle cover, one bolt cover on windshield wiper).
Congrats! And hopefully you are pleasantly surprised and the heads are done!

Congrats on a great combo........JSB and Z06. Hard to beat that.
One of my window switch covers also will pop off if you are too forceful with it. Just be gentle and no problems. Mine started doing it 5 years ago.
Wishing you many miles of smiles.

Beautiful find.
Have owned a 2LZ JSB copy exactly like it for 11 years of joy.
So how many miles?
Option level?
# of owners?
Finally, OTD $?
Enjoy the beast, be careful & learn its ways.
When/if it gets outa shape it happens faster than one can react or nannies intervene.
Driven responsibly () I routinely see 28 MPG.
Unreasonably, much less.

Yeah I have all the nannies on and it scares the crap out of me. Have yet to floor it. I've only done a half-throttle punch a couple of times. 90mph happens so dang fast. And at 90mph, it is still pulling like an animal...all nannies on!
I'm treating it like a motorcycle (no one sees you and it's fast enough to kill you in 3 milliseconds). Must respect the power.

JSB will do that to you. Before I bought mine, I knew I wanted AO or JSB. Only colors I considered as I was looking for 08-09 models. I've seen AO in person, but never JSB. When I went to see a JSB Z06 in person (now my current car) I knew JSB was a must. The color looks great in pics, but it's a whole different story in person. Absolutely stunning.
Congrats on your purchase and enjoy!
