Default MGW is really that good

I have listen to everyone rave about the MGW shifter, stating "best mod ever" or "why did I wait so long". Well let me join the group! I love this shifter. I can't believe what a difference in makes running around town or rowing hard through the gears. I used to miss the 2-3 sometimes but not anymore. The caravan trip will be even more fun. Thanks MGW!

I didn't think the stock C6 shifter was that bad, but installed an MGW to try it. VERY high quality and shifting is much nicer.

YUP. It is an absolute must if you have the M6. Love the MGW box.

I love mine I opted for the race spec for the shorter throws and more notchy shifts and despite what people says it’s not too short and I love it. It’s the shifter these cars should have come with from the factory

Default MGW shifter

I love this shifter! Night and day difference from the stock shifter. It might feel a little notchy to some. Some will even hate it. So it all comes down to how you like your shifts to feel.
And yes, one of best mods I’ve done to my 2013 GS.

The build quality of the MGW is pretty much perfect.

And the shifting is amazing.

The MGW is a great improvement over the OEM shifter. I would recommend also the lower unit which eliminates the ""notchyness". Together they provide a much better shifting experience.

I also have installed the MGW in my 05 M6 and think it's a great improvement. I would like to add that anyone using this shifter should google the Anti-Venom mod and do this at the same time as install. It simply adds a washer under the spring detent on the side of the trans. this reduces the side to side spring pressure and makes the MGW shifter even smoother. One washer worked for me but you can use 2. I felt it was a little sloppy with 2.

Yup, fantastic mod. The stock shifter feels so sloppy in comparison.

Love mine too! Best mod I have made. Just added the washer mod last night. Yet to drive it.

I installed 2 washers on mine. It's perfect, in my opinion. It's still firm moving forward & back. But the right-to-left movements require significantly less effort now. It glides into 5th gear very naturally, which used to required a very deliberate effort.

I love my MGW - definitely a must have for C6 owners. The OEM shifter always felt so sloppy and vague IMO.
