I used a rp5 gm11 interface on my 11gs, I tested the purple reverse wire from this device confirming that it does energize in reverse.
I plan to connect this wire to the red lead on RCA cable and feed power back to the camera as well as the reverse input lead to radio.
All I need to do at the camera is find a good ground, No wire harness hacking (reverse lights) needed back at the camera.

one option , mini stud mount camera, I've drilled out and increased the hole for factory hatch button rivet, between the button and license light.
I know its there and it bugs me but as time go's I hardly notice it anymore.

This switch could be convenient with the addition of a front camera, uses one radio camera input.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1x-Car-Fron...53.m2749.l2649
It auto brings up the front for a limited time when first starting car, then front again for limited time after reverse activation.
There is a remote tactile button for manual front activation, Reverse signal has priority always.

My radio has the dual inputs, but instead I'm going this route.

I used an existing screw above the license plate to mount my camera and added a small plastic washer from a RC car kit. I only have the one screw holding it but works well.
