Default Replace transmission or not. 2005 auto

Looking for advice on a major repair. I have an 05 with 93,000 miles car runs great drives strong. The problem is it has a transmission leak drips a little every time I park it so called a few Vette shops quoted $1800.00 to replace the tail shaft seal. One of the shops said with almost 100k on the car might be a good idea to get a rebuilt trans since everything has to come out to fix the leak. Advice appreciated

Your car has basically the same trans as my best friends truck with 220k on it. His trans is fine and so is yours. Don't go to that shop.

Why not install a new transmission and then fix the seal and sell your old one which should cover what, maybe half the cost of the new one?

Yeah, my last truck had 260K on a bone stock transmission - shifted a touch abrupt, but fine - it was a Toyota though.

My C6 auto trans has roughly 90K and shifts silky smooth, could not ask for more.

Why fix it for a minor leak? It ain't cheap.

Its been leaking for a while seems to be getting worse. I see you have an 05 with high miles any issues with the transmission?

Yep, replaced it at ~230,000 miles. No warning, just wasn't able to get above second gear. Limped to the shop to get it fixed.

So, contrary to popular belief, they aren't actually bullet-proof. They, evidently, do wear out eventually.
